First time I was there I was waiting in the mail lobby for at least 30 minutes, and no one came up to say hi or to ask if I needed any help. The worst experience I’ve ever had buying a car! My wife and I found a vehicle online that was located at Basswood Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. We drove over an hour with our two young kids to go look at the and I found a vehicle online that was located at Basswood Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram. We drove over an hour with our two young kids to go look at the vehicle. Once we got to their lot, we test drove the vehicle, and sat down to talk about the vehicle. They tried multiple times to change the price of the vehicle from an “online price” to a “lot price” which was significantly higher than advertised. They tried many different sales tactics that any shady used car dealership would try. We talked to 4 different “salesmen” including one of the apparent managers, all of whom were confused by what the previous salesmen had said. They threw out multiple different numbers saying they were “saving us money”. After doing the math myself, that was emphatically false. We had our own financing ready with a very good interest rate. They explained that they could meet or beat any interest rate we had by using one of their lenders. They came back with an interest rate nearly double what we were already approved for through my credit union. We spent over 4 hours at their dealership, fighting two young children, only to be jerked around with an absolutely unethical and dishonest business. Do your homework before going in and do not trust what their staff tells you. I do not recommend this dealership. More
