My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
Charged for braked that were not replaced. Charged for tire rotation that never happened. Have had a water leak through the sunroof which Bay Ridge Volvo has failed to fix 4x. I have a V50 - other owners beware. There is a catch (net like) at the end of the drain hoses. These need to be clipped so there wont be a backup of materials and the pipes can drain properly.

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
These guys are great... Great customer service on the sales side, (could possibly be a little more product knowledgeable, but they find the answers) Service area is amazing, They are open til midnight, there are TVs, Internet and a kids play area in the customer lounge. I was going to say they are a little slow, but I must mention that I came at 7PM on a Thursday with no appointment, and I was out in 2 hours for a warranty repair, so maybe they are actually pretty fast...

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
I purchased a 2008 V70 through the Costco program. Costco referred me to Bay Ridge since there were no NJ participants. John was was very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had the Costco advantage, buying at year end with new models about to arrive, and a Volvo incentive program in place. Thus, I had greaat timing and didn't feel like I had to push the great deal I was already getting. Still, John was a gentleman, responsive and he went to extra lengths to get us the color we were looking for. At other times of year, I think one would get a very fair price with John, and certainly an very good experience. I very much recommend John Rotante and Bay Ridge.

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
having been a customer of this dealer for the last 3 years, i took my volvo v70 for a 90k miles service. at the time of dropping the car, i was asked if i had noticed something else that needed to be reviewed. i told Mr. Perez that one of the brake lights was not working properly. also told him i have noticed a noise in the front right wheel, specially when riding over a bump. Besides that, i wanted him to check the car's shift to see if was working at its optimal. he tried to charge me $105 for diagnosis of the noise; and $105 to diagnose the status of the shift. after seeing his prices i asked him not to diagnose anything, and only do the 90k mi. service, and brake light.
When picking-up my car, i noticed he was trying to charge me $870 instead of the $579 pacted for the 90k mi service, and $50 for brake light.
we argued, and he took the overcharge out of the check. when leaving, one of the mechanics told me that there was a problem with the brake light. i came back and talked to Mr. Perez. who said he will credit me for the work. at the same time, right in front of me two of his mechanics opened the brake light compartment, took a light bulb they supposedly had put in before, and left the light socket empty and closed the compartment. so i told them that it was not acceptable for them lo leave the socket empty. they did not listen my complain and left. Mr. Perez also did not care, and there i was left with my car without a brake light. I left the shop wonderinging if -after paying $611 for the 90k mi. service, it has been done properly.

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
Terrible Service. I had a small fender bender in June this year. I brought the car over to them.Car has been in the shop for over 2 months. They have charged an arm and a leg from my insurance company. I think the bill was over 16K i have no idea what they have milked them for. The car no longer sounds the same when i brought it over to them. Enging is reving when its in park i can see that the RPM needle is moving up and down. Menagement dont keep you updated on the results.

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
Horrible quality of work. I took my XC70 in for service (Check Engine light) 7 times within a 3 month period. Every time it was a different part that the said failed! I find that very hard to believe. Luckily I had an extended warranty that covered this fleecing. However, the time I wasted was my own. I complained to Volvo Corporate. They are Worse than useless. Their answer was "try another dealer."

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
Excellent sales & service Volvo dealership. Regular 7,500 mile service for 2004 XC90. Friendly appt. secretary. Friendly service rep & extremely efficient staff. All mechanics on site were busy at 7:30 am when I got there - in their uniform overalls and state of the art service bays - spotless and well organized. Loaner car was just back from another customer - no time to clean - but they got that loaner to me within 3 mintues of my paper processing. Great service dealership - about 1000% times better than the other Volvo dealer in town - Nemet - you should avoid them at all costs - Nemet mechanics could not even install my replacement passenger side rear view mirror correctly [had to go back 3 times]. This dealership is definitely worth my extra 40 minute drive.

My Review of Bay Ridge Volvo:
I'll tell you exactly how poor the service is at this dealer...<br>I SOLD THE CAR!!! It was a C70 Convertible that had another 4 months left on its manufacturers warranty, but I just could not take a chance with it post warranty. I was in for service 8 times in 2 1/2 weeks this July. Simple problems, major problems same result...they just don't listen to you. For 2 years the car wouldn't start approx. 10% of the time... justt would not turnover. Brought the car in 6 different times... they could not duplicate the computer error code. There is o communication between the service consltant and the mechanics ( i use the term loosely). AWFUL... AWFUL... AWFUL
