Been there 3 times for the same oil leak problem. John from service dept. wold not even look typing on the keyboard when talking to you. Tomorrow have to bring car there again, for the fourth time and for the same problem. Most awful experience. Stay away.

(holly & mark ) These two are the worst employees. I really am not the type to post reviews but I really don't want anyone to experience the issues I've had with this dealership. Please go to any other branch of VW, but just not Newark.

I ended up coming here because I was discriminated against for my sexual orientation at Broadway VW in SF. The staff was very knowledgeable, kind, and respectful. I walked away with a brand-new VW Beetle convertible and couldn't be happier with my decision.

I just bought a new Toureg, this is my first Volkswagen. The service I received at Winn VW was great. I have no complaints about the service or sales... my transaction was quick and smooth. I would totally recommend Winn VW to my all family and friends.

My Review of Bob Lewis Volkswagen of Fremont:
I purchased a vehicle from this dealership almost 3-months ago and I'm still dealing with problems from this dealership. First, my trade in was not paid off accordingly; the dealership actually owes me money back. Second, someone at the dealership apparently was joyriding in vehicle I traded in and going through the FasTrak lane, so I've recieved 11 violations to date, which of course I submitted back naming the dealership as the responsible party. Third, to resolve the first issue, I've called the dealership several times and they're avoiding me by not taking my calls or returning my calls. At this point, I'd rather be lied to than not acknowledged! Note: The dealership is no longer Bob Lewis VW and is now WINN VW. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!!!

Sometime ago (2005?), fixed one part and then another part dead next day, went back 3 times. The manager I dealt with was just incompetent (full of nonsense from his "explainations"). But as I remembered, there was a good manager (Jason?) who was very professional and helpful, I think he is no longer there.

My Review of Bob Lewis Volkswagen of Fremont:
Right now, pretty disappointed. Had a lease turn in and was told that the salesman, Sam, was authorized to do these. He looked at the car, "checked" it in and I purchased another from him the same day. PROBLEM: Sam is NOT authorized to take a lease turn in. Received early termination invoice from VW credit (after the car had been back at the dealer for 6 months) for $1322 for a bunch of damage. The car did not have damage when I left it there. Now, on my 2nd GM, John Nguyen, who is not good a returning phone calls and I'm not real convinced he's looked at this as of today. Does ANYONE have an email address for Bob Lewis? Called the dealer and the one they gave me isn't any good. Really disappointed. Have recommended them. John Phelan is great in service though.

My Review of Bob Lewis Volkswagen of Fremont:
I bought a pre-certified Cabrio last July with the full 2 year warranty. The car supposedly passed the 112 point inspection, but within my first 3 months of having the car, it was in the shop more than half the time. So much for enjoying my fun little summer convertible!<br><br>The power windows and door locks shorted out and had to be replaced, there were problems with the gas tank, and I continue to have issues with the Karr Alarm system that they installed. <br><br>They clearly do not have a quality control process in place. Every problem that I ran into resulted in at least an additional 1-2 visits because they didn't test to confirm that they fixed the reported problem. <br><br>They were SO nice leading up to the sale. Once I drove off the lot, the Sales guy never called me to follow up on satisfaction, nor did he return any of my calls. <br><br>The manager clearly has no sense of customer service either. He did nothing to compensate me the major inconvenience they caused me. <br><br>The service advisor was so embarrased about all the problems that their customers continually ran into that she quit. <br><br>DO NOT GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO THIS DEALER!!!

My Review of Bob Lewis Volkswagen of Fremont:
I asked for a wheel alignment IF one was needed. Of course, they said they did one and charged me $300 for it even though the &quot;Before&quot; and &quot;After&quot; numbers were identical and the &quot;Before&quot; numbers were in spec.<br><br>I was also charged $125 so they could track a bad connector.<br><br>The car was in the shop for four weeks while they waited for a part even though I made the appointment three weeks before and they knew they would need that part.
