Chula Vista, CA 91913 DanTanner100@outlook.com December 5, 2025 Bob Stall Chevrolet Attn: General Manager 7601 Alvarado Road La Mesa, CA 91942 Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Service Department Workmanship and Customer Care Dear General Manager, I am writing to formally express my concerns and dissatisfaction with several recent service experiences at your dealership regarding my 2023 Chevrolet Bolt, VIN 1G1FW6S0P4117759. I chose Bob Stall Chevrolet expecting professional workmanship and proper care for my vehicle, especially since it is nearly brand new with only 11,000 miles. Unfortunately, the repeated issues I have encountered indicate serious problems with service quality, communication, and customer care. 1. Windshield Replacement I brought my vehicle in for a windshield replacement. After two separate visits, the installation was still not completed correctly. I ultimately had to seal the windshield myself, which is unacceptable for a certified service center. 2. Key Fob Service Resulting in System Errors I came in to have my key fobs reprogrammed. When I picked up the vehicle, the information system was filled with error messages that were not present before. When I called the service department, I was told that you don't fix that, leaving me to find and pay someone else to correct a problem that began after your service. 3. Level 3 Charging Issue Dismissed I brought my vehicle in twice for Level 3 charging issues. Both times, the technicians only checked Level 2 and said no problem found, ignoring the actual reason for my visit. When I questioned this, I was told your dealership does not service Level 3 charging and to take it somewhere else, ending the call with goodbye. This response was unprofessional and concerning. 4. Unsafe Handling of My Vehicle When an employee brought my car out, instead of using the brake pedal, they put the vehicle in Park to stop it. This is unsafe and demonstrates poor training and careless handling of customer vehicles. 5. Overall Workmanship and Care Concerns My vehicle only has 11,000 miles, and the level of care and workmanship I have received is unacceptable. If a General Motors service department finds my car too complicated to diagnose or service properly, I would like to know where GM expects me to take it. A GM dealership should be fully capable of handling GM vehicles. These issues have caused significant inconvenience and raised concerns about the long-term condition of my vehicle. I am requesting: - A review of each incident - An explanation for these repeated service failures - Confirmation that technicians are properly trained for the vehicles you service - Clear guidance on where GM expects customers to go if your dealership cannot perform requiredwork - Any corrective action or follow-up you find appropriate I look forward to a prompt response and a resolution that restores confidence in your service department.
