Couldn't have been better!! Outstanding group of people! I purchased a 2018 Odyssey about a year ago from another dealer. We love the vehicle except for the problem we have been having since day one with the I purchased a 2018 Odyssey about a year ago from another dealer. We love the vehicle except for the problem we have been having since day one with the second row seat on the passenger side. My daughter normally rides there and she noticed that when I would step on the brake or accelerate, the seat would move back and forth as if it was not latched properly. We took it back to Harrisonburg Honda (where we bought it) and they had their technician look at it and he said the base should be changed. The service rep said they would order the part and install it when it came in. When I got home I had a message to call them, and I did. When I called back a manager (I didn't get his name) said that he didn't think it needed to be replaced and for me to come back up when I got a chance and let my daughter sit in another new Odyssey and see if the seat moved in it. Yesterday my daughter had to have a recall done on her Pilot and while we were there we had the manager bring another new Odyssey around and my daughter sat in it and the seat did not move. We also had her sit in our Odyssey and he agreed that the seat was moving and since I had to have mine in for a recall too that he would have the technician check it. After they performed the recall and presented me with the summary of what was done, there was no mention of any work performed on my seat and when I asked about it the service advisor said I would have to talk to the manager but he was at lunch and I would have to call him when I got home which I did but not before visiting Valley Honda! What a difference! My point in visiting Valley was just to sit in another van of the same year to make sure it wasn't a common problem with 2018 Odysseys. From the moment I stepped out of my vehicle I was greeted with a smile by a young man named Mario! I explained that I had not purchased the Van at Valley and the problem I was having with Harrisonburg Honda. He was so polite and ushered us into the area of the service advisors and said he felt they could be of assistance. He was right! We were greeted by a young lady named Jenna Simmons and I proceeded to tell her that all we wanted to do was check another van for the problem. She went above and beyond to help us. She told me that she had a 2018 Odyssey that was a loaner but she would have to find it and said if we could give her a few minutes that she would locate it, which she did and brought it up to the door for us to look at. The seat in the loaner did not move and she asked if she could see mine and we showed her what it was doing. She went inside and got a technician to look at it and he agreed that the base needed to be replaced. Jenna then retrieved her computer and took down my information and said she would get the part ordered and call me when it was in so they could install it! I was blown away! I came home and called the service manager at Harrisonburg Honda to see what he was going to say but he didn't answer his phone and when a young man named Cory did, he took my number and said he would track him down because he knew he was there and have him call me. That never happened! I just wanted to take this opportunity to let you know that you have an outstanding group of people working for you and because of Jenna, you now have another Honda family in your fold. Since 2011, my daughter, son and I have purchased 6 new Hondas and from now on we will definitely be purchasing from Valley Honda! I plan on going to Harrisonburg Honda this Friday and have a come to Jesus talk with Bryan Horne and let him know why he just lost a good customer! Thank you Jenna, Mario and the technician (sorry I didn't get his name) for your help! You have just made us Valley Honda customers! More
Fast and reliable service Scheduled routine oil change and tire rotation. Was told appointment would take approximately an hour. I was out the door in exactly one hours time. Frustrated Loyal Customer We purchased our 2014 Honda Pilot from Valley Honda brand new and have been taking our vehicle there for all maintenance since we bought it. We start We purchased our 2014 Honda Pilot from Valley Honda brand new and have been taking our vehicle there for all maintenance since we bought it. We started noticing our clock was gaining time. It become a great math game the kids would play. "What time is it really?" When it finally was 25 minutes in the future, we made a point to tell Valley at our next appointment. Our records show we told them in 2017. They couldn't find anything wrong and reset the clock. We continued to see the problem persist and the compass was also recalculating a lot as well. We reported the problem several times. They found 3 pilots in the state had the same issue. They continued to try to remedy with hard resets but with no avail. The clock continued doing this over and over a period of time and before long it will build up 5, 10, etc minutes into the future. Finally, the last time we were in for maintenance in Nov 2018, we asked them to look at the problem again. We were so frustrated that this has persisted for over a year with no resolution. We called back after realizing once again, the problem was not fixed. I spoke with the service person. His response was to ask how was I going to pay to fix the problem since my car is out of warranty! I was so insulted by his response, I asked to speak with a manager. I called several times to speak to the service manager but was told each time he was unavailable. I finally left him a message very clearly expressing my frustration. I never got a return phone call. I have yet to return to Valley again for any further maintenance. It seems to me they are more concerned about getting their money than taking care of their customers. On every invoice it states, "At VALLEY HONDA we aim for 100% customer satisfaction. You may receive a survey regarding your service experience, TRULY EXCELLENT SERVICE is our only passing grade. If for any reason you are not COMPLETELY SATISFIED, please contact our Service Manager XXXXXX at XXX-XXX-XXXX!" This has not been our experience! More
