Had my doubts about shopping here as I had two previous appts made at the Fontana location only to drive 2.5hrs one way to find out the vehicle was at another location. Took a drive and chance and was met appts made at the Fontana location only to drive 2.5hrs one way to find out the vehicle was at another location. Took a drive and chance and was met by my guy Joel. He apologized for the mishap and assured that if given a chance, he could deliver. And boy did he ever. From start to finish, Joel did everything to get me in and out of the dealer with precision and efficiency. My son now has a new car he wasnt expecting. If you're in the market a vehicle, do yourself a favor and come here first. Everyone at CMD-Montclair will change your mind for the better re: the auto-buying experience. They know how to provide their customers with the royal treatment. Go see Joel.... you'll be glad you did!!! More
I absolutely had probably one of the worst situations anyone could present to a dealership. Joel was so attentive and professional and didn't write us off because our situation wasn't ideal. He worked so anyone could present to a dealership. Joel was so attentive and professional and didn't write us off because our situation wasn't ideal. He worked so hard to get us into a car and literally spent all day with us when he could have easily just moved on to another customer. I appreciate him so much and the finance manager , Frank, well let's just say he went above and beyond. They are one of the most professional and friendly dealerships I've ever been to. I will definitely be coming back and they will be getting lots of referrals from us. Thank u guys so much for everything, you have no idea how much you are appreciated. More

He is so knowledgeable, professional, and patient. He listened to my concerns and helped me pick the perfect car for me, which is a Cadillac XT 2018, w car I didn’t know existed turning out to be my dream car. I genuinely felt that he cared about finding me the right car rather than just the transaction. Trust when is say this. There is no one better than Mohammed to sell you a car. More

My mechanic said I got a great deal. Additionally, I got a 3 year bumper-bumper warranty with a $100 deductible free. I highly recommend Daniel and the dealership. I am satisfied with my purchase. Terrible Experience – Deceptive and Unprofessional Do not do business with Cars Motors Direct. I scheduled an appointment, agreed on a price, and was told the car would be ready when I arrived. I drov not do business with Cars Motors Direct. I scheduled an appointment, agreed on a price, and was told the car would be ready when I arrived. I drove 80 miles—two hours—only to find the car wasn’t ready. Annoying, but I waited. When I finally saw the vehicle, it was filthy—stains, pet hair, clearly not prepped. I was told it would be cleaned while we started the paperwork. Then things got worse. I was assured the car had no issues and was shown a clean Carfax. But then I was asked to sign a Vehicle Disclosure Statement stating the car had frame damage and unibody repairs. When I questioned this, I was told, “It’s just standard paperwork.” Really? Then why does it say something completely different from what you just told me? Next, they offered a letter saying the deal could be unwound if I found anything wrong—again raising red flags. If you’ve inspected the car, why even offer that? Then came another form—a Statement of Facts—saying the dealer had disclosed frame and suspension issues. That directly contradicts everything they claimed earlier. When I pushed back, they said they’d “change the language.” At that point, I no longer trusted anything they said. After nearly three hours, the car was still dirty, the process was shady, and the staff had become rude, condescending, and dismissive—like I was the problem for asking logical questions. I’ve never been told “you need to understand” so many times in one conversation. Thanks for that, Frank. This was one of the worst dealership experiences I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your time. Completely deceptive and unprofessional. More
Buying a Tacoma from California Motors Direct in Montclair, CA, was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They promised to match all the tires on the truck, but I ended up with a mismatched Montclair, CA, was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. They promised to match all the tires on the truck, but I ended up with a mismatched set — a small issue compared to what came next. I later found out the truck had been in a serious accident, not the “minor accident” the Carfax report showed. Even worse, it seems they pulled the airbag fuse to hide that the airbags were non-functional — a dangerous and dishonest move that could put lives at risk. They also promised to fully detail the truck before I took it home, but all they did was a quick wash. It felt like they were just trying to make it look good enough to sell. Months later, when I took the truck for an alignment, the mechanic told me the frame was bent — a $2,500 repair to straighten it. Finding that out was a huge blow since I trusted this dealership to sell me a safe, reliable vehicle. Even though the truck doesn’t have a salvage title, it’s clear this dealership has no problem selling vehicles with serious, unreported accident damage. Their lack of honesty and concern for safety is shocking. I feel completely lied to, ripped off, and taken advantage of. If you’re thinking about buying from here, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The dishonesty and lack of integrity at California Motors Direct are beyond disappointing. More
Bring your code reader or just find another dealer. Supposedly their cars go through an entire prepurchase inspection, but I'm going to guess that's just so they know what to hide from the potential b Supposedly their cars go through an entire prepurchase inspection, but I'm going to guess that's just so they know what to hide from the potential buyers, not to actually fix issues. Purchased a 2017 Dodge Caravan from California Motors Direct in Nov 2024. During the test drive I did not notice a blinking light on the rear defrost button that indicates an issue with the blend door motor. If there is a problem this light flashes when you first open any door on the vehicle for about 20 seconds. We were looking at the middle seats first, to see how they were attached for stow and go, so the light was done flashing before I ever checked the front of the vehicle or got in for a test drive. Then it doesn't do the test again for a while, so no flashing. Left the vehicle at a friend's overnight and saw the flashing when I picked it up the next day. When I got the vehicle home googled what it could be, then I plugged in a code reader to see if it would indicate which blend motor was the issue, only to discover the car also had a thermostat code pending. Within 100 miles of driving after purchase the check engine light is on, and I'm looking at $600-800 in repair bills. Unless you want to shell out a few thousand extra the cars are sold as-is with no warranty, so I'm SOL. Would not buy again from them and would recommend anyone reading this review find someone else to purchase from. As a side note, the price they advertise on the web is NOT the actual price of the car. I expected to pay the advertised price plus TT&L, they came back with the advertised price, plus an approximate $1500 add on for "dealers' costs, advertising, inspecting the car, theft insurance, etc.", plus TT&L as the final price. So be prepared to haggle for the price advertised. More
