David was pleasant to work with; it took a lot of patience because we wanted to pay cash, but there are limits on ATM amounts, so we had to leave and go to the bank to get a cashier's check... twice. patience because we wanted to pay cash, but there are limits on ATM amounts, so we had to leave and go to the bank to get a cashier's check... twice. We have two banks. We received a reasonable offer on our trade-in, and paid a reasonable amount for our "new" car. The only minus I could see was that the car came with only one key fob, and I'm not sure it was an original, as when I purchased another, it has more buttons. Also, the fob maker/locksmith that Carmax referred us to was WAY over-priced. I was quoted between $200-$300 with possibly more costs to add, when I was able to get the fob for $30 online elsewhere & a nearby shop programmed/cut it for only $60. So, just be smart & do your research. BUT the vehicles offered and employees who work for Carmax are the best. I wouldn't use another dealership. More

My husband bought a truck there two years ago and within a week of purchasing all the lights came on on his dash. Called right away to bring it back to Carmax but was told we had to wait two weeks. When we a week of purchasing all the lights came on on his dash. Called right away to bring it back to Carmax but was told we had to wait two weeks. When we finally were allowed to bring it in they tried to tell us that we missed the deadline for Carmax to cover it. After arguing for well over an hour they agreed to cover any issues if we brought it to their preferred dealer who then left a tool in the engine. Fast forward to two weeks ago when i purchased my hybrid vehicle. The sales man told me i could drive over an hour on a full charge, not sure where he got that bc they car only charges to 20 miles. He was very rude and kept trying to bulldoze over any questions I had. I told him I didn't want Carmax warranty multiple times and proceeded to bulldoze me for 30 minutes until I finally caved. Upon purchasing the car that same day the trunk would not latch and would have to be pushed shut. I asked the salesman and he said "it's a setting you can change just get in the car and mess with it". There's so setting to adjust that - I have to take it in to the dealership. The salesmen don't know anything about the cars and instead of asking someone else they guess and lie. I'm pretty xxxxxx. More
