The finance guy admitted to a warranty being added after the buyer declined and explained it wouldn’t pay due to mods. They agreed but lo and behold it was added and of course the warranty company refuses to pay. They’ve broken numerous laws in this sale and they’re stonewalling like everyone are idiots even ignoring Chevrolet corporate that’s gotten involved. Also, avoid West Lake as a finance option they’ve been sued and settled on numerous other issues even up through 2026! And guess who financed this truck? Yep! All the people want is the truck bought back, paid the down payment and what they’ve paid and the loan cleared. When they truly could and should sue and file to have their dealer licenses revoked. You’d think they’d be willing to comply but nope! So the next steps appear to be the attorneys and increased costs for everyone. Do better Mason Group! Money’s tight this days and young people need vehicles to work and provide for their families and you scammed them with a piece of junk that started having issues the first month. And when they reported it they were told they bought a used as is vehicle. Now it’s inoperable and they’ve discovered the warranty they knew nothing about that added over $3k to the financing. This situation is wrong on so many levels; legally, ethically, and morally. So I strongly advise you stay away or at minimum you are very careful about anything they have you sign, especially when they start folding pages up to the signature line and telling you what you’re signing. Stay away or verify, verify, verify! If you’ve already done business reread your paperwork carefully to make sure you haven’t missed anything they slid in without your knowledge! More

I took my Jeep in for oil and coolant mixing. Service Manager Christopher Rodriguez told me both head gaskets were blown and quoted over $10,000 to fix it. The car had never overheated, and their invoice showed no proof of testing. The mechanic even told us to “flush it and trade it in” — and said it was fine to drive home. We got a second opinion — the head gaskets were perfectly fine. The real problem was a bad oil cooler, repaired for $1,167.66. Jeep of Lugoff still charged a $200 diagnostic fee and even tried to sell me a new car. Later I learned they earn commissions on repairs and sales. Another mechanic we spoke with warned us about them, saying the way that dealership operates is “highway robbery without a gun.” It’s unfair and greedy to take advantage of honest, hard-working people. We found Carolina Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM a few years ago and have had outstanding experiences. Their service department staff embody small town values. They are trustworthy, do quality work, and are extremely fairly priced. Appointments always start on-time and they get us out quickly. They saved us a ton of money on a recent brake pad replacement and rotor resurfacing for our dually. We drive an hour to get to Camden/Lugoff, but the drive is worth the time. I don’t trust anyone else to service our truck. More
