Paperwork, including title, certificates of special sealants for paint and interior was not available. You had the feeling that he was trying to hide something.. The sales contract had an extra $995. charge for paint and interior sealant, that appeared was never applied. He gave us a box of waxes that we would have to apply or have it done every six months that he didn't explain during the signing or before. This was a scam. He was not helpful at all. You had to ask for everything including how to operate the vehicle. When we left with the vehicle, we didn't have copies of the contract; the sealant for the paint and interior; no certificate; nothing. Cavender might have been around along time, but this has been the worst car buying experience that I have had; like buying from some cheap used car lot. Terrible. More
Bought a brand new truck from Cavender two years ago with cash, free and clear. Cavender put a Lein on my truck by their words “by mistake, it’s simply a check box”. I have been calling and emailing for the cash, free and clear. Cavender put a Lein on my truck by their words “by mistake, it’s simply a check box”. I have been calling and emailing for the last two years for them to release the lein and they still have not. Be careful when dealing with this establishment. My recourse at this point is legal action. More
Mr. Gio should show a little more respect when dealing with one of your customers who, after being lied to multiple times and given the run around on a check for over $28K for a traded in vehicle seven da with one of your customers who, after being lied to multiple times and given the run around on a check for over $28K for a traded in vehicle seven days prior. I hope this review is seen by someone above you. Your lack of professionalism and your lack of customer service has ended my business and my recommendation to anyone in doing business with your dealership in the future. More
This is absolutely the MOST horrible place for service. Why am I dropping my vehicle off (with a scheduled appointment) only for them to not even look at the vehicle for 48 hours. Under normal circumstan Why am I dropping my vehicle off (with a scheduled appointment) only for them to not even look at the vehicle for 48 hours. Under normal circumstances this wouldn't be a problem, but of course - they don't have rental cars (they are all loaned out). How do I purchase a brand new vehicle and you all don't have the service folks to keep up. I swear if I didn't love the vehicle I would trade this bad boy in and just say screw Cavendar. My friend has a Toyota Tundra and had $2000 worth of work done and it was returned to him in 4 hours. This is simply absurd! More
We purchased a new ‘25 Traverse, and 3 months later it needed brake work done. We have waited a week for a rental, because the recall and part takes 3+ weeks to arrive. We have little communication from needed brake work done. We have waited a week for a rental, because the recall and part takes 3+ weeks to arrive. We have little communication from service or the dealership. This is ridiculous for a brand new car. More
Absolute horrible service department. I dropped off my daughter's car on a Saturday for a 7:00 AM appointment on the following Monday. When I called Monday afternoon, I was rudely told t I dropped off my daughter's car on a Saturday for a 7:00 AM appointment on the following Monday. When I called Monday afternoon, I was rudely told that Cavender had 24 -48 hours to do a diagnostic, which I was never informed of. When I called later, they said they couldn't find my car, and that they needed the VIN number to track it. (Another thing I was never informed of). When I asked the woman on the phone if she could recall her own VIN number, she sarcastically said "most people would check their insurance card". We keep our insurance card with the vehicle, which your dealership, Cavender, had. When I called again to see if they had found my car or had a status, I spoke to another woman, who was curt and rude. It turns out that this same woman had tracked down my daughter's phone number and called her, despite me giving specific instructions that I was to be the one to contact, as my daughter is a kindergarten teacher, and can't be disturbed. My daughter, thinking it might be an emergency, answered the call, and was barked at by this woman saying that some strange man was trying to do work on her car and did she authorize it. She was curt and rude to my daughter as well. I finally found out who the service advisor that I spoke with was on Saturday, Jason, who turns out quit on the Monday that the vehicle was scheduled for service. The new guy, who I don't remember his name, said he would give me a break on the price of the repair, since I had such a miserable time. This "break" was a lousy $25 off due to me being retired military member. This equated to a 3.5% savings on a $704 bill. I have purchased 3 brand new vehicles from Cavender Chevy, and I can assure you that that will be the last. There are plenty of other Chevy dealers in South Texas that I can go to. (I don't care if George Strait himself asked me to come back to Cavender, this will never happen!) You treat your customers horribly after the sale, and I'm going to be sure that everyone I know is aware of just how lousy a dealership Cavender is. More

I bought a used vehicle from this dealership. The process was seamless. I was asked once if I would like to purchase any "dealer add-ons" just once. I said no thank you and that was the end of The process was seamless. I was asked once if I would like to purchase any "dealer add-ons" just once. I said no thank you and that was the end of it. No high pressure sales tactics, which I greatly appreciated. The vehicle we purchased need a few items fixed before we made the purchase and the dealership fix the items, no-questions-asked! We found our sales associate to be very pleasant, along with the general manager and the individual that finalized the sale. Our time was respected and everyone we spoke with was exceptionally courteous. I have purchased numerous vehicles from numerous dealerships over the past 40 years. This was "hands-down",one of the most pleasant vehicle purchases I have made in recent years. My hat is off to the staff and management J. M. Atkinson More
