My Review of Chapman Mitsubishi:
I am providing feedback re: my less than satisfactory buying experience at your Bell Road Mitsubishi dealership at 999 West Bell Road in Phoenix, Arizona.

I spent several hours and made numerous visits to the dealership working a deal for a 2006 Eclipse. When the deal was complete and it came to financing,I was told that she could purchase the vehicle at a 3.9% interest rate OAC. Since I have always had “A” paper, Tier 1 credit, I agreed and was told it was not a problem.

On June 26, 2006 negotiations were complete and a contract was signed. The contract agreement was for a 3.9% financing.

On June 27, 2006 I went to the dealership to pick up the owner’s manual and additional key (not available at the time of the transaction). I was approached by an employee by the name of Denny who stated that there was no way she could get the 3.9% financing and I quote, “God couldn’t even get 3.9% financing.” Interesting statement since I had researched Mitsubishi’s current financing offer of 3.9% for 72 months ending June 30th

He then attempts to explain what appears to be an internal disagreement about the deal, and is now asking for an additional $1,700 or the deal is off.

Just as a reminder, this was not a quick transaction. It was well thought out and negotiated by myself. I believe that with several days and numerous trips to the dealership, both sides had the opportunity to carefully negotiate a deal. I do not see this as the buyer’s problem if the dealership’s tactic is to get the sale then make attempts to hold the buyer hostage by trying to renege on a done deal. Certainly the buyer is not afforded the same once the contract is signed.
