BUYER BEWARE, SCAM ALERT I purchased a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LS from Check Auto after being told it had a clean 5.3L Vortec engine that had been recently inspected and was in great condition by the owner. I pai LS from Check Auto after being told it had a clean 5.3L Vortec engine that had been recently inspected and was in great condition by the owner. I paid $400 for transport and an additional $1,000 deposit via Zelle. Within 45 minutes of delivery (about 20 miles of driving), the vehicle overheated and the check engine light came on. A mechanic inspection revealed the vehicle did NOT have the advertised 5.3L engine—it had a mismatched “Frankenstein” 4.8L engine with no coolant, incorrect spark plugs, engine misfires, and clear signs of poor-quality repairs. I was told the engine needs full replacement, costing $5,000–$6,500. A second independent mechanic confirmed the same. The pictures were also deceiving as the car had multiple peeling clear coat areas not shown in pictures. When I contacted the dealer, they dismissed the issue and claimed it was essentially not their problem because the car was sold “as is.” There is also no signed purchase agreement because the paperwork was returned to me by UPS because of an address error. Despite clear misrepresentation, they have refused to work toward a resolution or refund. I can't, in good conscience sign the paperwork as it was not the car I paid for. I’ve already spent over $1,400 trying to diagnose the issue and even offered to compromise, but they have refused all reasonable solutions. Based on my experience, and similar reviews from others, this appears to be a pattern. I have filed an official complaint with CarGurus as well as the Florida Motor Vehicle Field Operations Office (Region 6) at DmvRegion6@flhsmv.gov. If you’ve had a similar experience, and by looking around it seems many have, I strongly encourage you to do the same. More
Terrible Experience – Stay Far Away Check Auto Inc. is a prime example of everything wrong with shady car dealerships. They engage in deceptive business practices, fail to disclose critical vehicle iss is a prime example of everything wrong with shady car dealerships. They engage in deceptive business practices, fail to disclose critical vehicle issues, and take zero responsibility once the sale is made. The staff is unprofessional, and their only concern is getting your money—not your satisfaction. To make matters worse, the owner responds to every negative review by calling it “fake” or accusing the reviewer of lying, rather than taking any accountability for his shady actions. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place entirely. There are far better, more honest dealerships out there. More
" SCAM ALERT " Dishonest found the grey f150 2017 4x4 5. 0 on car guru Ali said the transfer case was making noise and was going to be replaced and we could go to the shop to see it and drive it. Drove a hr 0 on car guru Ali said the transfer case was making noise and was going to be replaced and we could go to the shop to see it and drive it. Drove a hr to be told by Rudy the mechanic that we couldn't drive the truck until said transfer case was replaced. Drove to Check Auto made the deal with Ali pending repair Ali said it was a Florida truck this is where the lies began to surface as the paper work showed it was from the Salt belt of Ohio ? Should have walked right then as it gets much worse. Got the call the next morning all was good and the transfer case was replaced drove back one hr to drive the truck we inspected the transfer case to find it had not been replaced as we had took a picture the day before and it was plain to see it was the same one and had had no bolts removed decided since we were there to drive it anyway. There was just enough fuel to drive just far enough for the real problem to surface as a so called bad transfer case was a smoke screen for a bad transmission ! It was clunky in first and second and a loud pop followed with a hum and slip grind in third . Buyer be ware of this car lot always drive a used vehicle long enough to warm things up and give time for hidden problems to surface . More

5 days ago I bought a Toyota Sienna 2013 in this dealership, and they sold it to me with the AC broken.I then went back to the dealer to see if they could fix it two days later and he sent me to a m dealership, and they sold it to me with the AC broken.I then went back to the dealer to see if they could fix it two days later and he sent me to a mechanic shop so that they could fix it, and the owner said he would pay the job because he sold me the car in a bad state.Went my husband went to pick up the car title today, he demanded my husband to pay the repair and naturally my husband said he was not going to pay because the owner said he would assume to the cost. And the worst part, the turkish man pushed him and my husband said he was going to call the police and the turkish man yelled out “ F*** the police!”.Personally, I had a terrible experience I do not recommend this place to anyone.Bad business, bad cars and on top of that they assault clients.I suggest, if youre looking for a dealer go somewhere else! We went today to look at a 2007 Nissan Armada that was advertised as good condition. No dings visible. Paint in good condition. Interior in good condition. That was their words. When we arrived there was advertised as good condition. No dings visible. Paint in good condition. Interior in good condition. That was their words. When we arrived there was a dent in the front driver side fender. Paint was peeling. Dashboard had a hole and crack in it. We thought okay, it is an older vehicle. Some cosmetic issues are normal. Not advertised correctly but it was a good price. We should have stopped there. Instead we went to the office to speak to someone. We met Mario. He didn’t seem at all interested in speaking to us and when we said we would like to see it he said ok. The air doesn’t work. So that wasn’t advertised either. We just said never mind and walked away. I have worked most of my life in a mechanic shop with my father. Behind a small car lot like this. I learned what honest car lot dealers are like and these people are not them. We know what our budget is. We know this means we will not get perfection or low miles but before you let someone drive for 2 hours to come see a vehicle, be honest. Advertise honestly. Stay away from this dealer. They are not who you need to do business with. More
