I'll never have this place touch my vehicle ever again, nor will I buy a vehicle from here. These people are not very knowledgeable and try to nickel and dime you for everything they can. I understand how nor will I buy a vehicle from here. These people are not very knowledgeable and try to nickel and dime you for everything they can. I understand how businesses can't give away free work, and I wasn't looking for a handout, but their services are very expensive, and I don't trust their techs. Here's why... I hit a deer back in March and Caliber Collision did the work. They had to take my truck down to their Norton Ohio facility because they said that was their location that does aluminum body work. Regardless, I had an issue with a Tie Rod, and the work was performed by the Ken Ganley Ford dealership in Norton, Ohio. Unfortunately, after I got the truck back, the steering felt stiff and didn't seem right. With the help of a mechanic, we looked at the front suspension and steering components, and found that the upper and lower boots were both torn and I had dirt getting into the joints. I called Ken Ganley Ford, and they informed me that I could take my truck to any Ford dealership in the USA and they would warranty the work. Since Madison Ford is much closer than Akron, I just took it to Madison. I scheduled the truck to go in the following week, and I also let them know that I wanted the Cameras replaced because there is a Factory Recall on them (they're all hazy and it's nearly impossible to see anything). They said no problem. I dropped it off the night before the appointment and they said they'd call me with an update the next day. The next day, they sent me a video from the tech who "worked" on the vehicle for all of 10minutes. He didn't do anything, and totally missed the fact that I put a quick mist of red spray paint right next to the faulty boot to make sure they would see it. He didn't even notice the bottom boot was torn, and tried to say it was only the upper. Then, he recommended the wrong part number. I sent Madison Ford the PDF from the Norton dealership showing the correct part number, but they tried telling me that the part number was different than what they quoted me, therefore it wouldn't be covered. They claimed it was a "workmanship" issue and I needed to take it back to Norton, which, for the record, is false. They then informed me they didn't have the cameras for the truck. I said, that's fine, you can keep the truck the rest of the week if you need them shipped in. They said, no, they're on back order for 3-4 weeks. Which, ironically, is the same excuse they gave me months ago, the last time I tried having the cameras replaced. That time they never called me back to let me know if they had the cameras, which is why they're still hazy. If they knew a week before my truck got there that they didn't have the cameras, and that they are on back order, why would they tell me they could do that work? Absolute lack of awareness. I came to pick up the Truck, and they guy handed me a bill for over $120 saying it was their diagnostics fee. I said, "I'm not paying that. You guys didn't do any work on the vehicle, you didn't replace the cameras, nor did you handle the warranty that you were supposed to." After that, he tried calling the Norton location for more information and to figure out why they had a different part number, which never really amounted to anything at that point in time. After some back-and-forth, they agreed to not charge me this fee for having the truck on the rack for 5 minutes. I called Norton Ford the next day and complained to them that Madison wouldn't warranty the work, and the service manager from that location said again that any Ford dealership should warranty the work, no questions asked. I told him that I said that to Ford Madison and that they claimed it was a "workmanship" issue. I scheduled my truck to go down there the following week and dropped it off Saturday morning. Ken Ganley had my truck for the week, we drove back the next Saturday, they handed me my keys, apologized for the issues, and I didn't pay a dime. More
