Victory Toyota just plain SUCKS! We had a specific car that we wanted, which they sourced from Rock Hill, SC. Everything was going well till the car showed up approx. 3 hours late with about 1,200 more m that we wanted, which they sourced from Rock Hill, SC. Everything was going well till the car showed up approx. 3 hours late with about 1,200 more miles on the odo than we were told it had! The owner was the only person that we could reason with and he did try to make things right, so we bought the van as promissed and he threw in a few extras to make us feel better. Absolutely love the car, but the dealership is filled with a bunch of low-life swindlers that just want the sale and nothing else! The Sales Manager (Reza), is a total A0hole who has no people skills at all. That is to say he has no skill in dealing with someone who understands that he is a cheat! Enough about the sales side, on to the Service Department... We have had trouble 3 times already with service work that is supposed to be covered by the included 2 year Toyota Maintenance Plan. Each time we have brought the car in for it's recommended service they want to charge us additional fees and the owner has to get involved. I just took the car in on Saturday for the 10,000 recommended service and was told I would have to pay $28.00 more for the stuff that wasn't covered. I went to find someone that would understand that our car is covered by the maintenance plan and eventually the service was completed, (in about 2 hours!),or so I thought! It seems the Service Manager didn't think the tires needed to be rotated because he "measured them", so they weren't touched! It is now Thursday and the tires still haven't been rotated even after one of the sales guys told my wife 2 times that he "would call her in the morning to schedule a time to pick up the car and get the tires sorted..." What a load of BS! I'm surprised people are not standing in line to punch a few of these guys in the face every morning! I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER CAR HERE AND ADVISE ANYONE ELSE TO SHOP ELSEWHERE! More
My husband & I test drove a "trac" car (demo) on 12/11/09. It had 5400 mi. We asked Mary Byrd (sales) if the lifetime warranty & lifetime oil changes applied to this car & she confirmed that it did. 12/11/09. It had 5400 mi. We asked Mary Byrd (sales) if the lifetime warranty & lifetime oil changes applied to this car & she confirmed that it did. We actually took the car home that night and agreed to bring it back to Victory Toyota on Sat. (12/12/09), in which we would make a decision to buy the car. When we took the car back, we asked Mary to give us a price on a brand new Prius w/ zero mi., in which she did. We contemplated and finally made an offer, which they accepted & my husband asked her twice if the lifetime warranty & oil changes applied, in which she agreed. My husband even made the statement that that is what "sold" us on that particular car & we would have probably bought a new car if it hadn't applied to this car. We signed some paperwork, then Mary goes next door to another office and we hear the guy yell "What did you do?? That was the price with $1500 down... How are we going to get out of that???"-- In which, we heard Mary reply "that's the price that you agreed on!" (We never even spoke of any money down, it was strictly negotiating the price of the car). Mary came back a few moments later and asked us to walk over to her manager's office. We signed more paperwork, then he started explaining that this car has 5400 miles on it and it does not qualify for lifetime warranty & oil changes (because "5000 miles is the cut off"). He never showed us a policy on this, but would not sell us the car w/ just the lifetime oil changes (as we were willing to negotiate to that extent). They offered the oil changes at their cost ($800+ for so many years..), but we informed them that we weren't paying any more money than what we had agreed to pay on the car. Mr. Gene Miller (sales manager) did not confront Mary or ask her why she had misinformed us, nor did he apologize for the miscommunication. We walked out of there without purchasing a car. We have not received any follow-up phone calls from this dealership. More
BUYER BEWARE. My experience with this dealership has BUYER BEWARE. My experience with this dealership has been horrific. After 5 minutes of talking to a sales associate we had agreed on a price for BUYER BEWARE. My experience with this dealership has been horrific. After 5 minutes of talking to a sales associate we had agreed on a price for a new camry. I gave him my fax number and he promised to send me the offer in a few hours. No offer came. Turns out... they had just sold the car I wanted. But they have the same car in a different color. I'll just need to wait a few hours for the fax. No offer came. Turns out... they are all out of the carS I wanted! Imagine that, no new base Camry LE 2009s on the whole lot. Had a few friends call in and spoke to other sales associates... the cars were on the lot. Turns out... that somehow both my friends were rerouted to the dealer in Chesapeake, VA and spoke to associates in VA who were a little confused about the inventory in N. Wilkesboro... b/c recently Victory Toyota has been selling so many cars! Checked the internet site, the same cars were available. Had a friend in N. Wilkesboro check the lot and do you know what?! Base model Camry LEs were right there! Called the front desk at N. Wilkesboro and had the secretary tell me that both associates my friends called worked at the N. Wilkesboro dealership. Turns out... The fine folks at N. Wilkesboro are liars. And not the typical car dealership "you are getting the price!" type. This man lied to me for > 5 days straight and each lie became increasingly outlandish and fantastic. I even tried to let him off the hook easy by reminding him that I knew he was the middleman (a sales associate not the manager) and he still refused to budge on anything he said and at one point confronted me and yelled at me "are you calling me a liar!?"
