My 1st experience with this dealership was July 22,2025...had a appointment for my first 500 mile full synthetic oil change and filter for my C8 corvette convertible with master technician Mark...appointment was for 10:00am ...he didn't take my car until 11:00 ...checked out at 12:07...2 hours and 7 minutes with a appointment for a C8 oil change and filter...unacceptable...what's worst...the charges as my bill was $289.00 ...extremely excessive! When I got home went online Chevrolet dealership rates for C8 full synthetic oil change and filter...Rates were from the lowest $116.95 to $178.95! Also went on C8 Corvette forums and the average rate is 140.95 in the United States Chevrolet dealerships...I paid $289.00..for the same service and it took 2 hours 7 minutes with a appointment made weeks in advance!Ridiculous!! My second and last service was on August 22,2025...again made appointment a week ahead of time! I had 3 accessories to be installed with master technician mechanic Mark...corvette technician...Well,to start my appointment was for 8:00 am and car went in at 8:00 so it was at least on time for once...Well it gets much worse...really to much to type...3 accessories to be installed GM carbon fiber steering wheel, GM tow hooks front and rear with dime size drill holes in carbon flash trim covers front and rear tow accommodate the tow hooks without trim cover removed...Mark had a YouTube video showing exact process no guess work for the installation...should of only been a 30 minute installation...it took 3.40 hours at shop rate...to drill two small holes and screw in tow hooks...charged $451.63 Front tow hook trim cover was terrible as from some reason Mark used a X-ACTO KNIFE..oblong tear drop appearance looks Terrible!! Rear tow hooks trim cover was perfectly done! Scrap armor side intake grills guards was the next accessory to be installed with youtube video showing exact process no guess work...again not sure why this took hours aswell especially as Scrap armor is a authorized GM part LPO on C8 also make the front grill guards...Mark didn't follow the video..didn't prep and prepare trim panels and 3M double sided tape came off on the way home! Ridiculous...and was charged for this horrible experience $321.63...lastly my Carbon fiber steering wheel was installed in 30 minutes as it was fully installed with internal parts at factory...Mark just had to remove 2 x 10mm bolts to remove airbag switch out wheels put the airbag in carbon fiber steering wheel tighten 50mm center bolt to 35 foot pounds and add lock tight to the bolt before tightening...then put on the 2 black plastic trim bezel covers ...well,...he stated on my bill that carbon fiber steering wheel had lite scratches on the back black plastic trim bezel like it happened before his installation...which was a big lie...as this carbon fiber steering wheel was $1799.00...the GM manufacturing plant went to great lengths to insure that no damage in manufacturing or shipping...I have video proof showing exact condition...pristine MINT CONDITION...also have screenshot and pictures and video after shipping... Mark stated on my paperwork that it was scratched before his installation...which is a flat out lie! Also, the trim covers on back side of steering wheel wasn't removed with a trim tool...I was told by a expert that it looked like technician used a screwdriver to remove trim cover!! See the pictures and video...so upset with the lack of Professionalism and integrity and disrespect for my beloved 2024 C8 Corvette convertible with only 731 miles on her at the time of installation!! Absolutely the worst experience with this Chevrolet dealership service department.. ever...as I've owned 14 brand new Corvettes in my Life time...! Unbelievable...! I've reached out now to the service manager Paul and also the General manager of this horrible dealership his n Chevrolet of New London, Connecticut! I've reached out now to the service manager Paul and also the General manager of this horrible dealership his name is Paul aswell...haven't heard back from anyone at this dealership including both the service manager and General manager of Colonial Chevrolet of New London! After further investigations online I see many discussed customers at Colonial Chevrolet of New London also there other Colonial Chevrolet of Massachusetts with many poor service reviews...apparently this looks terrible for them and definitely a pattern with the lack of respect for the customers and there vehicles and also high costs for services! Even going on AI they list the pros vs cons of this horrible dealership at both locations...and what was listed is every thing that happened me and my 731 mile 2024 C8 Stingray convertible corvette....this dealership really has some serious issues with the service department! I know I won't be back!! This was the worst experience with Chevrolet dealerships in my life time and I purchased 14 new corvettes from Bowling Green assembly plant...if I don't hear back from GM or service manager after Labor Day holiday weekend...I will be following up with GM's corporate offices and Bowling Greens aswell! Total lack of respect, communication skills and integrity with master technician Mark!! He went on to lie on my customers receipt and bill that my $1799.00 carbon fiber steering wheel was damaged before installation and had several lite scratches on black plastic trim bezel...little does Mark know that I have pictures of every angle of this carbon fiber steering wheel before shipping and after and before installation...I also have a minute video showing entire carbon fiber steering wheel and all trim pieces and parts...it was perfect Pristine MINT CONDITION...Mark the technician mechanic is the person who put marks with what looks to be a screwdriver instead of using a plastic trim tool to remove plastic trim covers behind carbon fiber steering wheel...these trim covers cover the 10mm bolts to remove airbag! If you made a mistake when installing ...don't lie about it...the black plastic trim bezel is approximately $175.00 for part plus installation...my carbon fiber steering wheel was $1799.00....the back has 3 small scratches on the black plastic trim bezel above the left trim cover!! So disappointed with the lack of integrity and falsely claiming that he received my carbon fiber steering wheel like this! This is really troubling!! Hopefully, this dealership is going to step up and send me a replacement black plastic trim bezel, 2 trim covers and the funds to have this replaced at the Chevrolet dealership of my choice...as I don't trust Colonial Chevrolet of New London any longer with this experience! Also,my bill for all this drama was $916.63...which needs to be adjusted as I was charged a shop rate of 5.10 hours ..when installation shouldn't of been more than 1 30 hours! This was s service issue. The service person (Mark) was exceptional. The two issues were detailed on the work orders quickly and my car was repaired overnight. A third problem was found that will result in a substantial billing (>$7,000). Fortunately we had an extended warranty that will cover nearly all the expense. Mark coordinated discussions with the warranty folks and arranged for a loaner during the two day repair period. I'm very pleased with the service department and personnel. More
