My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
I have previously bought several new cars elsewhere, But have NEVER experienced the lies, deceit, tricks, and harassment as I did at "commonwealth Motors". The staff, especially JOE GERBINO and CRAIG CLARK, are VERY UN-professional and will attempt to cheat you until you sign the very last line--and even after. IE: I was NEVER told about a $1,500.00 cash back offered by the "Honda Motor Corporation" on ALL new cars, which I bought a new Honda Accord. When I became aware of this cash incentive---(one day before I was to pick-up the bought car)-- being made by "HONDA", Commonwealth Motors and their sales "team" said that they had included the $1,500 cash rebate into the price I was given for my trade-in. I told them, due to these circumstances, I no longer wanted this car. I was told TOO BAD< WE HAVE YOUR SIGNITURE ALL OVER THIS CONTRACT--

If you do decide to buy from COMMONWEALTH MOTORS, please; bring your lawyer with you.

My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
I have been in on several occassions:
1. My car was shaking as I was driving on the highway,
2. I needed an oil change and replacement bulbs for my tail lights
3. I needed a state inspection sticker.
The service was always prompt, efficient, and courteous.
Thank You!

My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
I went to this dealer for a problem with a rattle that I had with my Odessey. I had been to another dealer and they basically told me that it was all in my head. Charlie, listened to what I had to say, took the van for a ride and heard exaclty what I was talking about. Long story short, COMMONWEALTH SERVICE is the best. They fixed my problem and I will return for ALL of my services. They are attentative and precise.

My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
I went in for a routine oil change. The service department noted that I a couple of bushings on the front suspension had started to wear. they noticed a bit of a clunking sound when taking it in for service. I thought I had heard something recently but did not know what to think of it. The parts were in stock and they replaced the bushings during the routine service while I waited. I was still in and out just under and hour. The price was great and their attention to detail is excellent. I'm glad they noted the noise and repaired the car before things got worse. thanks again

Employee(s) Dealt With: Franklyn, Andre (sales manager), Rob, Jim (sales manager)

My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
Do not do any business with this dealer! After negotiating a price, we waited for this person then that person and waited some more. They took 4 hours to do the paperwork and tried to scam me into a higher interest rate when I was signing the contract. I wasted the whole Labor Day to purchase a car. The service was horrible in sales. I thought well now I don't have to deal with the sales department and read that the service department is great...Don't hold your breath!

After one week of owning my car, the alarm won't shut off on a Saturday night which made my neighbors really upset. Rob, the service manager who oversaw the instillation, claims this alarm system is the best and I would be very satified! I called them on Sunday to ask where the manual shut off switch is, their manager,Jim, says no one on their facility on Sunday can tell me where the shut off switch is. They really know their products there! All he has to do is call up their Service department person and ask a simple question but Jim told me nothing can be done for me on Sunday! He said I would have to drive in on Monday to get it fixed and to take a cab to work on Monday! "There is NOTHING I can do for you today" He would not even offer a switch on the vehicle or a rental car while they fix my car! WORST customer service ever! And he wonder why I would be upset and told me to calm down or he will not help me. He didn't offer any help from the start! IF YOU WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT PROVIDE ANY SERVICE, VISIT COMMONWEALTH HONDA. DON'T SHOP THERE EVEN IF IT'S THE LAST DEALERSHIP ON EARTH!

Employee(s) Dealt With: Kimberly Daher,Craig Clark, who also gave instructions on behalf of the owner- Charlie Daher, and possibly Jeff Donahue / Robert Florent

My Review of Commonwealth Honda:
09/2009 THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! THEY ARE EXTREMELY RUDE AND DESPERATE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ANYONE! I went there to return a leased civic Si 06 with my mother, which any Honda dealer is required to do. Prior to returning it, my mother gave a courtesy call to Common Wealth Honda and spoke to an internet sales manager named Craig Clark who assured us that we could take the car in. However, because it is an inconvenience to take, this dealer decided to take advantage of us. I first walked around just looking at things while my mom brought the paper-work to the front desk to return the lease when a bunch of sales associates jumped on her like a pack of starving wolves about to feast. They asked what she would like to trade in the vehicle for but she explained that she didn't have time that day to look at cars, but would come back again to look at some another day.(Keep in mind I am away from my mom about 15ft, just watching and listening, and they have no clue that we came in together.) As soon as she said she was not buying today some of the sales associates or "wolves" left the pack. As one of the guys was doing the computer work and asking for information from my mom, a woamn, Kimberly Daher-Sales Manager, made a gesture of agreement with another sales associate next to her and said to the man using the computer,(with a grin on her face)"The computers are down. Rob!(he looks at her) The computers are down".(while she winks at him, grins, and does a double nod towards my mom, implying she was talking about my mom.)My mom was faced away from the female sales associate so she could not see the rude gestures that just took place or the fact that they were desperate to take advantage of her. My mother soon replied to the response "the computers are down" by saying,(In a friendly manner) "Ok, I'll wait here til its up again". "Rob" decided to take a look at the car with us and explained that we could leave the car here but could not assure us that the car would be processed or that they had any responsibility over it. We asked if we could have a form of writing saying that we returned the car and he said there was no way. So at this point I was frustrated that I simply could not return a car and still bothered about the event that took place earlier. Thinking of this, I decided to bring it up with "rob". When I asked him why they had done that he denied the whole thing and walked off angry and said" I don't need this!" I walked away so that I could calm my self down after all that had happened. My mother stopped him and spoke with him asking him if there was a manager she could speak to instead and he said, "I am the general manger, I'm the person who makes the last decesions here."(The Owner/president of this dealership is Charlie Daher although I called Commonwealth Honda and asked for the name of the general manager and was told it was Joe Grovino. However, there is no Joe Grovino listed as staff on the Commonwealth website. So either he lied to us or they used false names.)We then asked to speak with Craig the Internet sales manager so "rob" went to get him. When Craig showed up he explained that the computers are down and would not be up for another hour so it would be best for us to go to another local Honda dealer like Jaffarian or Atamian. He said he did not anticipate the computers to go down. My mom then said once again,(Still in a friendly manner)"Well, we could wait here then until the computers are up again." He said ok and walked away back to the main desk. He came back shortly and said, "The General Manger said that theres no way we are taking the car in so you should just go to one of the local dealers".(My mother and I were both shocked at the complete lack of customer service there.) We then asked if they could call Rockingham Honda or Atamian. Craig said, "there is no call needed because any dealer will take the car, no problem." So we asked again if they could call and reluctantly he agreed and walked away. About 30-45 seconds go by and he comes back and says," all set! They will take the car. (with a smile on his face). We then asked for the number to the stores and he said,(With a upset look on his face and expression like that of a kid who whines about not wanting to do chores) " You want the number? I just called them. Why would you want the number for?" We explained that it would be beneficial to have the number just in case. Again he reluctantly agreed and walked away for the number. What took him 30-45 seconds to call two dealers and confirm that we could return the car there took him 10 minutes to retrieve the number.(So I already knew that the story about calling both dealers was a lie.) He returned with the number for Rockingham Honda. We decided to call in front of him. As he stood anxiously, My mother spoke with the manger at Rockingham Honda and had to explain the whole situation to the manager.(Proving yet again that Craig lied about calling.) The Rockingham Honda manager was very polite but was confused on why Common Wealth would not take the car. After the explanation to Rockingham Honda, Rockingham agreed to take the car but was still confused of how Common Wealth was refusing to take our car.

Rockingham Honda turned out to be very polite and professional. I have done business with them before and they have always had good customer service.

In addition, my mother was referred a number by a friend to call a manager named Brian Hess, the general manager of the commonwealth Volkswagon dealership, who she called. She briefly explained the situation that happened with out indicating the day it took place. Before she could finish explaining he said," Well, I remember that day and their computers were down." My mother replied, "Well would you be able to help me contact the appropriate people in order to file this complaint?" He replied, "No I can't help you at all, bye!" and hung up.

Conclusion: Common Wealth Honda on 1 Commonwealth drive, in Lawrence, MA 01841 has the worst customer service. They are full of staff that are rude, lie, and try to take advantage of others by any means possible.

The staff in service and parts was extreamly helpful in regards to my specific needs. I needed my car back before noon, my car was diagnosed immediatley and repaired with enough time for me to get next appointment. I've been coming to this dealer for years and they continue to impress me.
