Rich was easy to work with. I called first on the phone because I was looking for a specific model used truck to pull a 5th wheel. Rich directed me towards a couple of trucks you had in inventory. I had two trade-ins that I knew what the trade-in value should be. Your offer for each vehicle was in the range I knew they were in. It was a fair price so I accepted the deal. I did my research before coming in so it was quick when working with Rich. Also worked with Shannon (I believe that is the financing person's name). This process also went quick and smooth. Kolby was my salesperson. He was the only thing positive about my experience at Gus Johnson Ford. I had called once before and had gotten another sales person that was short with me, so i called back and as about my experience at Gus Johnson Ford. I had called once before and had gotten another sales person that was short with me, so i called back and asked for someone else. That is when I got Kolby. After i decided to make the purchase, I was transferred over to the business department. I have to say that I was buying this truck long distance, from out of state. the truck had a known blown engine so I needed to get that replaced before I could drive it back to Michigan. They made me feel rushed told me if they did not have the money in hand by the next business day that they would put it back out for sale. they also told me that if I didnt buy it someone was coming in on Thursday to buy the truck. The only option I had was to do a wire transfer to get the money there by the allotted time. I offered to pay by credit card and they refused that as well. After they received my money they then fedexed paper work to me. When I question them about the one of the forms they made me feel like an idiot. It was a purchase agreement that stated i still owed the full amount. I told them if i sign this, i maybe liable to pay it again before picking up the truck. He said we have done this before with many people who are from out of state. My only response was that maybe those people dont read what they are signing. I told the Business manager that there is nothing on this form that states that I have paid for the vehicle. After a bit of run around he agreed to fax me a sheet stating that they have received the money from me. They also will not release the vehicle to a local shop so that I can have the engine replaced until all the paper work is in. THe Business manager said "all i want to do is protect the dealership." And I said what about the customer. Everything here is about protecting you and distrusting the customer. More
