Bought a 2021 “Certified” outback mph spun like a roulette wheel and it could not be registered because they didn’t even do a basic smog check, which is illegal. No I have a hard credit enquiry now, I paid inurance and gap and 3 months payments to my credit union . Not free. Johnny is the rudest manager, should be fired,They bought it back in Sep 2025 now in Dec 2025 I have paperwork from DMV that car is in my name and that affects my driver license and now I have to go to DMV and prove I don’t own that car! I have all photos and transcripts of conversations, have reopened a case with Subaru of America , DMV etc.. BUYER beware! Also they tried to sell it a month later as a certified one owner car! FUBAR More

It will likely be my last. As part of the purchase of the car, it came with a maintenance program for the first four oil changes or some such. I heard this big old song and dance from the salespeople about how amazing their service department is. Here is is, I am at 6,000 mile service and I scheduled a service appointment for 8:30am on Friday. I arrive...EARLY...and check in my car. My first ever time of using Subaru service, and they give me a tracker app. I start to walk about a mile down the road to eat since I am stranded while they work on my car. They called to let me know my alignment was off too and that they could fix it. I told them I just got it aligned, but figured if anyone can fix a Subaru, it would be Subaru. Again, this is at 6,000 miles. I was at the Farmer Boys down the street for nearly two hours and the tracker app showed that they had yet to even look at my vehicle. Upset, I began to walk back. It had been sitting for two hours, and the oil change, tire rotation and alignment meant that it would be at least 1.5 hours more of wait time, and I had things I needed to get moving on. I made it back to the dealer, and the car was still in the intake area. I showed the app status to the person at the desk, who then both him and the person next to him started to shuffle papers around before saying "oh we are starting it now". Livid, I went outside to literally and figuratively cool off, as I canceled meetings and canceled my doctors appointment. Not even 5 minutes later, someone from Subaru claimed my car was all ready. The app still showed they have not started on it. I pointed out the fact that it is physically impossible to perform an oil change in 5 minutes, let alone rotation and alignment. I also pointed out that the person at the desk just said they are starting it NOW, so how is it already done? Arguing was going nowhere and he was trying to suck me back into the front office, but now that my day was imploded because of xxxx poor communication, AND I am at this point unsure if the scheduled maintenance even happened on my car. I drove home and called the service manager, giving them my cell number and customer number. Three hours later, he called a different number (my office phone, not the phone number I gave, or the phone number on file) and left a message but gave me the wrong number, so I had to call in to speak to them. The manager at first claimed that the tracker app I was stating was bogus because they don't even have a tracker app so he has no idea where my information may be coming from. When I pointed out it was from a DCH rep that sent me the URL to the tracking app, suddenly there WAS a tracker app. Then he got all wrapped around the axle on the tracker thing, because I pointed out that as of that time (three hours after I got my car back and a half hour after I took it to another mechanic for an oil change) it STILL showed they had yet to complete the inspection. The manager proceeded to change the status and had me check to verify. I stated that my issue is not the tracker status, but that I keep getting lied to. After being read the riot act for accusing them of lying, he then claimed they have TWO apps for tracking and it was my fault for not saying which app. So to reiterate...he went from they do not have an app, to they do have one, to then they have two. When I mentioned that I had to take my car to Pep Boys to try and verify that they did the oil change, this manager made sure to let me know that they got their money from the service. Isn't that nice? He wanted to let me know that even though I just spent 200 for inspection and oil change because of lack of trust due to constant lying and misinformation, they still got my money. More

He printed it for me and the price was $9,000.00 over the advertised price. George tried to pull a fast one. But it didn't work. I got up and left. On my way out George was chasing me. I told him to stop. It was so embarrassing! Everyone was looking at us! And I am sure thinking that this salesman is a idiot! More

What I received in return was a masterclass in what NOT to do as a sales manager. I was insulted, disregarded and blatantly offended by the incredible unprofessionalism of Matt Kraft. I’d fire him in an instant if I was the owner of this business (given I actually cared about making sales). I will never, ever make a purchase at a DCH dealership. They employ absolute filth. I personally recommend you take your business to a dealership run by adults, not children. Don’t be fooled by their slightly “below” KBB prices. Other dealers will give you the same or better deals and give you a modicum of respect while doing so. Shame on DCH for employing unprofessional people like Matt Kraft. (He’s costing you money). This dealership uses dishonest bait and switch tactics on customers. I communicated with Hiroshi over text and email prior to coming in for a test drive. Hiroshi wrote down the price plus “fees”, but no specific breakdown of the fees. We told him from the beginning we weren’t purchasing the car that day but wanted to get the out the door cost and come back soon. When I asked what the fees were, I was shocked to see an additional $9,000. Of that $9,000, $2,600 were add ons that they said were already on the car and could maybe be negotiated. Another $6,000 was warranty, lifetime oil changes, etc. I told him this felt deceptive since they clearly state they only add tax and registration. After leaving the dealership, I had a few more communications with Hiroshi and his supervisor Matt Kraft. They wouldn’t directly acknowledge my concerns about the add ons and dishonest pricing communications. When I stated we would talk to them again if they honored the original price they gave us, they never replied. This was huge waste of our time. We drove over an hour to get to this dealership since they had the exact car we wanted at a great price. Matt Kraft tried to get us to sign a contract that day without any payment to “secure the deal”. I love Subarus but this experience so terrible and such a horrible representation of the brand, that I almost swore off buying another Subaru. More
