DeMontrond used car salesman (Keenan Keele) assured me it was ok for me to write a personal check and it be held until Tuesday, through text messages. Then test drove the 2016 explorer sport by myself bec was ok for me to write a personal check and it be held until Tuesday, through text messages. Then test drove the 2016 explorer sport by myself because my wife was with the kids that were sick with RSV( so we couldn’t get a babysitter)he instantly wanted us to sign a credit application which foolishly we did. I thought ok I need a car now!! After the test drive it was a very odd in counter, like we were old friends that knew each other deeply and knew nothing but I needed a vehicle... he said (Just between us) he had a guy that would get this done tonight no matter what.... for a $150 dollars... even now I don’t know what he meant... was it to be paid right then or included in the loan??? I have no idea, but it was to sketchy for us. Then we were told our credit was much worse then what was on credit karma or through our bank Chase. Me and my wife both didn’t understand this, a 673 on the chase bank app added up to a 613 on there pull... how?? If anything else... a auto pull or whatever they called it would’ve shown me and my wife’s credit to be nearly perfect... as there is only one missed payment on her loan.... due to COVID. So barley even talking to this salesman, my wife still didn’t even know his name on the way home, we were in the finance department where the financing person didn’t even know that we had a personal check to use as a down payment and that would not work because it had to be a cashiers check. So I am immediately frustrated to say the least... how does the Financial officer not know we are doing for our down payment. The salesman comes over as we are leaving because there is literally no reason to stay because now we have zero down payment, our credit is not perfect so yes we need that, and he says to my wife why did you come then, why did you come over here prepared, I am literally on the edge of blowing up so I just say “you told me over text that our personal check would be fine but the financial officer told us he cannot take that and has no idea what we are talking about” How do you lie to someone and then act like it’s their fault for wasting your time? The salesman continues by saying “oh he doesn’t know what we have going on” ARE YOU FREAKIN KIDING ME!!!! How in the world would it be OK for the financial officer not to know what me and the salesman have going on?!?!? What?!???!! So we leave with a very odd feeling.... what happened? Why did this guy have literally no customer service/people skills? Before you say that it must have been a miscommunication, know that I texted him to confirm it would work before we even left our house. More

Went to Demontrond to look at a new GMC 2500HD. Brandon was super helpful and located the vehicle I was interested in rather quickly.
