We purchased a vehicle from Desert 215 Superstore in Las Vegas and the whole experience has been deeply disappointing. ________________________________________ 🚗 What went wrong 1. Communication bl Las Vegas and the whole experience has been deeply disappointing. ________________________________________ 🚗 What went wrong 1. Communication blackout: • Derrick in Service and Robert in Sales completely ghosted us—calls and texts go unanswered. • Steve Boyd directed us to contact him but never returns phone calls or text messages. 2. Misleading negotiations: During negotiations, we were assured certain service had been performed and referenced valuations from the Carfax report. Both were later proven false—information was blatantly misrepresented. 3. Promised fixes never delivered: • We still don’t have the correct charge cord for our EV—what was provided is incompatible. • Our trade in continues to reflect an outstanding loan; we need confirmation it’s paid off. • The vehicle was promised to be fully detailed—it wasn’t. ________________________________________ 🤯 Why so frustrating? This isn’t just a bad deal—it’s a pattern. A Reddit user captures it perfectly: “I posted this on Yelp, Google Reviews… what bothers me is the number of fake positive reviews… I’m honestly just trying to make sure others learn the truth about these people.” dealerrater.com+2desert215superstore.com+2desert215superstore.com+2dealerrater.com+1dealerrater.com+1reddit.com That rings true: Desert 215 may boast good reviews, but the reality is very different. ________________________________________ ✅ What needs to happen 1. Replace the charging cord with the correct model. 2. Confirm and document the full payoff of our trade in. 3. Detail the vehicle properly, as originally promised. 4. Respond to our communications—calls, texts, emails—from Derrick, Robert, and Steve. ________________________________________ Bottom line Feels like we’ve been taken for a ride. Desert 215’s glowing reviews don’t align with our experience of silence, misinformation, and broken promises. If you're shopping here, I strongly recommend proceeding with caution—verify everything in writing, and don’t assume follow up will actually happen. ________________________________________ We really hope Desert 215 will step up and resolve our issues—but if this is how they treat customers post sale, consider looking elsewhere. I went to this dealership to look at a few cars and it turned out two of them were just about the same price so I said to the salesman How about this other car and he made a comment saying oh well that on turned out two of them were just about the same price so I said to the salesman How about this other car and he made a comment saying oh well that one’s 35,000 like I couldn’t afford it. So I asked him OK what’s the lowest cash price out the door he would go. He told me they didn’t do that there. I said well can you ask the manager and he said no because he won’t do it he said they won’t go even a penny less I was totally baffled by this, I said you’re not even doing good customer service he said to me it’s not about customer service hello since when are things not about customer service totally unbelievable More
Second vehicle purchase from desert 215 has been a nightmare. I haven't received my plates and trade in isnt paid for as part of the deal. I still need to remove parts and plates from trade in. Dealer nightmare. I haven't received my plates and trade in isnt paid for as part of the deal. I still need to remove parts and plates from trade in. Dealership messed up on the deal on their end, now they're forking me with a 20k down payment after the contract was signed with 0 down. I'm not pleased with the customer service here. The issue still isn't resolved. More
Service Writer James Cruz is worthless. Took Ram in for standard oil/filter, tire rotation, and diagnosis of shock oil leak and exhaust manifold ticking. Service writer was James Cruz. Kep Took Ram in for standard oil/filter, tire rotation, and diagnosis of shock oil leak and exhaust manifold ticking. Service writer was James Cruz. Kept my truck 5 days and didn't do any service. Diagnosed shock needed replaced and exhaust manifold would be warranty repair. Told me parts ordered but would take 2 months, and come pick up truck. No work done at all in 5 days, no paperwork and no charge. It has been 3 months with no contact. Numerous messages left for James Cruz in service with no return calls. Wrote email to service mgr. and no response. Then found out James Cruz closed out work order as if work was done and reported work completed to RAM warranty. More
James Crews ordered the wrong part so I had to bring it back and this time guarantee me it would be fixed in 1 day on 2nd day he still never touched it. James Crews didn't even call to tell me they hadn't back and this time guarantee me it would be fixed in 1 day on 2nd day he still never touched it. James Crews didn't even call to tell me they hadn't even started. I took off work specifically for this and when I called he said for me just to tell the insurance company to rent me a car. He didn't care one bit how I lost money by taking off for nothing. More
I recently purchased a Jeep Wrangler and while the customer service during the purchase of my vehicle was great- my after purchase experience has been horrendous. My Jeep came with a safe attached to customer service during the purchase of my vehicle was great- my after purchase experience has been horrendous. My Jeep came with a safe attached to the trunk, but I didn’t get the keys to it right away. I was told I would get them once the dealership got the keys from the previous owner. I kept following up weekly with my sales rep and the manager Mike whom I left voicemails for, but he never returned my phone calls. I called several times over the span of a month and attempted to talk to multiple managers in hopes of getting help with the keys to the safe and I finally spoke with Josh who told me to make an appointment with the service department and they would have a locksmith rekey the safe for me. I arrive at my scheduled appointment time and the service department was unable to rekey the safe because the lock smith wasn’t available. The service department was also completely unaware of the whole situation and needed paperwork that neither Mike nor Josh had sent them in order to even have the keys made. I’m still waiting on the keys and it’s been 7 weeks since I purchased my vehicle, so, I currently have this safe attached to my car door that I can’t access and that takes up a lot of space in my trunk. I wouldn’t have purchased my vehicle from this dealership knowing that they have no respect or consideration for their customers once the sale is complete. More
Bought a 2021 Ranger Lariat from them and had it shipped to Edmond Oklahoma. A week or so after delivery, the cruise control went inop. Desert 215 stood behind their 60 day, 3,000 mile warranty and the prob to Edmond Oklahoma. A week or so after delivery, the cruise control went inop. Desert 215 stood behind their 60 day, 3,000 mile warranty and the problem was fixed at a local Ford dealer. These are good folks. Thanks especially to Joe Sanchez in Sales and Derek Davis in Service. IMO, Lithia is a first class operation. I am watching their stock. More
