Ok but could improve The staff was very nice and helpful. Most importantly, they weren't high pressure. They answered questions, told us the options and let us decide. We actually visited there three times before deciding on a vehicle and they never once tried to pressure us into getting one "right then". Now the bad...the cars are dirty!!! The one we ended up purchasing was clean and they even cleaned it again after the purchase, but some of the ones we test drove were pretty horrible. I swear I could still smell one of them hours after we left the dealership. I did ask about this and was told they didn't have a detailer on staff and the sales person washes the vehicle after the sale. Our sales rep did wash ours after the sale and did a fine job. The problem is that we completely dismissed 3 vehicles because they were so dirty and smelled horrible. Very little, if any effort was put into cleaning up those cars and making them presentable before putting them on the lot. How much would it really cost to hire a car washer? The other downside is that they only put half tank of gas in the vehicle. Full tank of gas seems like a pretty small thank you for spending $15,000 + interest don't ya think? Overall a great group of folks to deal with, it just seems that some policy changes could greatly improve the reputation of the business. More

Great Experience When my old vehicle (and I mean old) suddenly broke down, I needed a new vehicle ASAP. After looking online at various places, I found the cars at Drivetime to be of quality, at reasonable prices. So I caught a ride there and met Shannon! I can say she is one of the nicest people I have ever met. I never felt like I was any less of a person due to life's happenings that cause remarks on your credit report. After talking about my situation and finances, we discussed cars. I had already decided I wanted the Chevy Sonic listed on line so we went for a test drive. The car was great, and of course I went home with it! Shannon even washed it for me (getting just slightly damp). JJ went over all the paperwork and financials clearly and pleasantly. After seeing a TV commercial, I went to the internet to locate a dealership near me, n My experience with Drive Time actually began over the internet. After seeing a TV commercial, I went to the internet to locate a dealership near me, next I was able to view all available vehicles at my closest dealership (which was awesome AND accurate), because of this I made the trip to the Myrtle Beach location where I was greeted by the friendly face of Greg C. who happily accommodated me in the freezing cold by eagerly obtaining keys to the multiple vehicles I looked at. There was no pressure at all from Greg C. Just a genuine desire to really help me and to do so quickly and completely. He was very knowledgeable of all products offered. I made a total of 3 trips to the dealership and each time I was received by a friendly, helpful staff member. Norm also helped me on one occasion and it made no difference that I had begun my process with Greg C. He was equally helpful as was the manager, Travis, that I met on both occasions. After my first visit I received a phone call from both Greg and Travis just to thank me for my visit and I hadn't even purchased my vehicle yet! They really worked with me to find the perfect car to best meet my needs and today and I the very happy owner of a GREAT car! I absolutely recommend not just Drive Time, but the Myrtle Beach location!! More
