I was planning on purchasing a Ford Explorer and I had planned to go to the Ford dealer on a recent Saturday morning to finalize the deal. I thought the Explorer might be a little too big for me so I deci planned to go to the Ford dealer on a recent Saturday morning to finalize the deal. I thought the Explorer might be a little too big for me so I decided to stop by Donaldson's Subaru before going to Ford. They had an Outback in the showroom with a better price than the Explorer and much better estimated mpg. I sat in the car and it felt perfect. I had asked the salesperson (Jerry) a few questions and then went home to get my wife since she would also be driving the car. I returned a short while later with my wife who also liked the Outback. Jerry showed us the features of the car but he wasn't pushy. He let us take our time and was always near enough to answer our questions. I decided to purchase the car right then without even test-driving it. And, because I am a AAA member he was able to get me an even better price. The Outback is great! I really love it. And my experience with Jerry and Donaldson's was also great. I've purchased several new cars over the years and I can honestly say that this was the best new car purchasing experience I've had. Jerry was very thorough during the delivery, explaining the features of the car. He also seemed genuinely concerned about my drive home since it was night and raining and since I was unfamiliar with the car. I felt like I was purchasing from a relative. Great experience! More

Two years ago I had a problem getting my car inspected because of a check engine being on. I only had about 10 days before my time was up. The dealer that I bought the car from would not give me an appo because of a check engine being on. I only had about 10 days before my time was up. The dealer that I bought the car from would not give me an appointment in less than two weeks. I called Donaldson and they gave me an appointment in two days. They resolved my problem, for very minimal expense, and I passed inspection. I have gone back there even though it is 12 miles from home and I have to wait for the car in the waiting room. The service team is very professional and polite. More

It seems like most of the internet is biased against dealerships. But there's a simple reason for this: whenever someone has a bad experience, they want to share it and talk about it, but nobody cares dealerships. I've bought new cars on two different coasts and had them serviced in a number of different dealerships and this one is close to the top of my list. My first service experience with Donaldsons was a troublesome power steering pump in my '03 GTI. I was living in a different area and couldn't get in for service (ended up having it fixed elsewhere in the same state) and explained this to the service writer. Because they couldn't get me in for an appointment, they GAVE me a $10 quart of Pentosin CHF power steering fluid. There was no paperwork, just a courtesy to a VW customer. Mind you, at this point I'd never spent a penny at this dealership. I made sure to come back when I had pennies to spend. I've spent about $100 in maintenance and upgrade parts. I left my '06 Rabbit in for service when it was due for a routine factory recall. I lived too far away for the shuttle service, so they dropped me off at a local movie theatre instead. Again, no complaints. My only regret when it comes to my dealings with Donaldson's is that I wasn't able to buy a car there (I'm never in the area when it comes due, it seems.) More

My first contact with them was when I had to have a Subaru bought at another dealer that folded serviced. They were wonderful (although they changed the frames around the licence plates to their own without asking.)<br><br>Subsequently, I bought another Subaru and then a VW Passat from them. The salesman was helpful. Although I was interested in an Audi, he helped me find a better car for my needs which was the less expensive VW!<br><br>I now have an Audi allroad and, while I love the car, I wish that I could continue having it serviced by Donaldsons. Their service is in all ways superior to my current dealer except that Donaldsons does not wash the cars after servicing. They give you a coupon for a nearby carwash instead.<br><br>Donaldsons service managers are intelligent and helpful. The service area is very well managed. The entire service experience is good.<br><br>Highly recommended. More
