I worked with Alex, and looking back, there were red flags I should’ve trusted. Despite having a credit score over 800, the initial financing offer they presented was significantly higher than what banks were offering. I chose to use my own bank, but when I arrived with my financing, their “deal” suddenly became better than mine. That bait-and-switch tactic was the first sign of shady, non-transparent practices. During the test drive, I asked Alex about a second key. He said he’d check and get back to me. Fast forward to when I picked up the car—everything signed and finalized—no second key. When I asked, Alex casually said he couldn’t find it and forgot to follow up. His response? “There’s nothing I can do now.” I called him on my drive home to say I was turning around to return the car. He was rude and clearly irritated, but eventually said he’d send a locksmith to cut a new key. His tone made it obvious he wasn’t happy about it. Also on that same day, I noticed a warning from the front sensor every time I stopped the car. I asked Alex about it, and he brushed it off as “probably a bad sensor” and assured me it would be covered under the extended warranty I purchased. Since the car was for my daughter to use while home from college, I didn’t address it right away. Now, three months later, I took the car to a local Ford dealer (an hour closer than Essential) for regular service and to finally check the sensor. I was told it would cost $200 just for diagnostics—plus repair costs—and that they couldn’t confirm if the issue would be covered under the third-party warranty Essential sold me until after the diagnosis. I called Essential Ford to ask for help, since I had flagged the issue the day I bought the car. Susie, who was polite and professional, said she’d speak with management and get back to me. She did—and let me know they weren’t willing to do anything. I told her that had I known this would be the outcome, I would’ve turned the car around on day one and demanded the issue be fixed or canceled the sale entirely. Her response was that it’s a used car. My response: “It was new to me—and a $35,000 vehicle should be properly serviced and free of known issues before being sold.” I’m extremely disappointed in Essential Ford and Ford in general. Cars are getting more expensive, and post-sale service is getting worse. This experience has been a reminder that customer service doesn’t always come with the price tag. Do better, Essential Ford. Purchased a Brand new 2024 F 150 a week ago. Brought it home and noticed thousands of ants crawling all over the truck in the engine compartment and all in the bed of the truck!! Called Ford and they said that they didn’t come from there that it’s where we park it. Which I have my other vehicles parked in my driveway and there are no ants in them. I have heard that other people had issues with ants too! Was told by a sales representative that they have ants in their vehicles and it’s a problem in their lot. Was told by the manager to bring it in and they will power spray it to get rid of them. I have set off 3 Foggers and still have ANTS!!! Next step we had a Pest Control Company come out so let’s see if this resolves the issues!! Would love to hear if anyone else had this issue!! More
