I had high hopes when I purchased my 2019 BMW X3 from Fields BMW South Orlando, but my experience with both the car and the dealership has left me deeply frustrated. Five years later, my X3 is valued at Fields BMW South Orlando, but my experience with both the car and the dealership has left me deeply frustrated. Five years later, my X3 is valued at a measly $6,500 for a trade-in, and I can’t help but feel let down by BMW’s engineering and the dealership’s role in this mess. The trade-in document dated 3/6/25 lists the X5’s market value selling price at $81,075, and my 2019 X3 trade in allowance at a measly $6,500. This stark contrast highlights how these mechanical failures have devastated the car’s worth. The car’s engine mounts have completely disintegrated, and there’s an engine coolant leak—issues that shouldn’t be plaguing a vehicle that’s only five years old. These aren’t minor wear-and-tear problems; they’re significant design flaws that have tanked the car’s value and left me footing the bill for repairs. I expected more durability from a luxury brand like BMW, especially at the price I paid. Instead, I’m stuck with a car that feels like a money pit, and the trade-in offer reflects how much these issues have devalued it. When I brought this up with Fields BMW South Orlando, I didn’t feel like they took my concerns seriously or offered any meaningful solutions beyond expensive repairs at my full expense. I get that dealerships don’t design the cars, but I’d hoped for more accountability or support—maybe a goodwill gesture or assistance with BMW corporate—considering I bought the car from them. Instead, it felt like they washed their hands of it once the sale was done. The staff were polite enough during the buying process, and the showroom is nice, but that doesn’t mean much when the product fails you and the follow-up feels lackluster. I’m disappointed in BMW for building a car with such costly flaws so early in its life, and I’m frustrated with Fields for not stepping up when it mattered. If you’re considering buying here, just know that the shiny BMW badge might come with hidden costs down the road—and don’t expect much help when things go south. More
