I like the people at this dealership, especially in the service department, but yet I can rate the dealership higher that a 3. I bought my vehicle new in November 2021 and only last month did my problem service department, but yet I can rate the dealership higher that a 3. I bought my vehicle new in November 2021 and only last month did my problem with my brakes get resolved. They knew it was an issue. This time I booked in my car to address an infotainment issue that I had previously mentioned when getting my car serviced. I was told 2 to 3 hours and to bring my car in as early as possible if I was going to wait for it. I arrived and had the car checked in by 7:38 am. At 8:55 I was told that my car hadn’t been started and there were a few ahead of mine. So much for my appointment and getting in early. Closer to 10:00 am I was offered a Loaner car, I have always been told that they weren’t available, it seemed to coincide with a group of Volkswagen guests viewing the dealership, maybe getting potential complaints out of the way was the real reason a loaner was available? I finally got my car back at 5:00 pm, at this point I wasn’t unhappy because at least I had a loaner. Then I read what had been done. The problem had been fixed BUT, it was a known problem dating back to a TSB from early 2023. There was explanation as to why it hadn’t been addressed at previous services. Vicente and Jesse on the service desks are great, I have no complaints about how they do their jobs, they are very good, but there seems to be a disconnect with service delivery with Volkswagen at a corporate level. I don’t meant at the dealership level. For whatever reason I always feel like VW at an institutional level isn’t bothered about supporting dealerships in providing the best service experience. I love my VW Atlas, it’s my fourth VW and I recommend it, I just feel like VW corporate cut corners and only address needs when customers complain enough to become a nuisance. Not Findlay’s fault perhaps, but it harms their customer service delivery. More
I reached out to Findlay VW because my wife and I just had a baby and was taking Ubers back and forth places as my car was totaled and I needed a car to get back and forth to work as well as something I c had a baby and was taking Ubers back and forth places as my car was totaled and I needed a car to get back and forth to work as well as something I can make sure is safer and sanitized for our new arrival. I needed a third row suv to fit 3 ( car seats) as well as have room for my older kids and my wife. Findlay VW always had good reviews so I reached out to Zach Hentzell and also the sales manager John McKibbin to see if I could get approved for a car that I picked out. I was surprised on how fast I was approved and the communication from John. Zach did not communicate as much as I had hoped but I was blessed and happy to be getting a car for my family. I told John I did not want to get the car unless the deal was 100% done. He said it was, got to the dealership and signed the papers and got the car. What they failed to tell me was the bank they got my deal done with loves to harass non stop- They would tell me one thing, then tell finance another, and even finance told me that bank called him everyday about my deal. They emailed my job non- stop, and called my job non stop and called me. It was always commincating delays with all three people I was working with at VW. Then I get a call telling me to bring the car back because the bank does not want to fund my deal for reasons we could have worked out. Because of the communication error, I still have no car for my family, my newborn has gotten sick still being in a Uber due to some are unsantized and because my wife is allergic to pet's she is unable to ride when we need to go to our newborn apts. etc. After the car was returned, I reached back out to the sales manager John McKibbin to see if I could possibly get a new bank or work back with the same back and fix the miscommunication and he got very harsh in the emails then stopped responding. My thing is they only tried one bank to get me financed and stopped responding to me which is very uncalled for when they all knew how important it was for me to get a third row suv. After the car was returned because I purchased an extended warranty that was being charged monthly, finance never cancelled the warranty and the company started charging me (which I still have not gotten my refund back for a car I don't have) I reached out to finance he said it's on the warranty company but when I called the warranty company they said it was on finance. Though all of this because I still need a car I would still see what can be done for me and getting a car. I would feel better not working with the same people though and hope the GM can step in and assist me. More
I TOOK MY CAR TO FINDLAY VOLKSWAGON. , THEY'RE WAS A SMALL TICK IN THE MOTOR., I ALSO HAD 3/4 TANK OF GAS., THEY CALLED TO TELL ME I NEEDED A NEW MOTOR FOR WHICH I HAD TO PAY $10,000., , THEY'RE WAS A SMALL TICK IN THE MOTOR., I ALSO HAD 3/4 TANK OF GAS., THEY CALLED TO TELL ME I NEEDED A NEW MOTOR FOR WHICH I HAD TO PAY $10,000., WENT TO RETRIEVE CAR., THE GAS LIGHT WAS ON, THEY DROVE MY CAR TOO MUCH IT RUINED MY MOTOR. THEN I GET A RESPONSE TO MY FIRST REVIEW AND THEY'RE TRYING TO TELL ME HOW MUCH GAS I PUT IN MY OWN CAR!! SAYING IT WAS LESS THAN A 1/4 TANK. LIARS!!. THEY OUT AND OUT RUINED MY MOTOR!! OFFERING TO REPLACE IT FOR ME IN THE AMOUNT OF $10,000. More
I have never had a better purchasing experience before! I brought my broken 2016 Passat to Findlay to have a diagnostic done to find out the engine was shot. I would have to replace the engine which would be more than the car was worth so my wife and I asked for options. What Findlay VW did for us was give us trade in value for our broken car, gave us a discount on a new lease and Stacy Triana our sales consultant took all the time we needed to find us the best car for us. We test drove several, looked at even more and finally settled on a new Tiguan. Makala the service advisor was our fist angel who directed us to Stacy, then we were taken care of by Twala Wagner in Finance. Again, THE BEST car buying experience I have ever had. I've owned 5 other VW'sand dozens of other cars in my 55 years of life and never have I been treated so well. Will go there for as long as I live in Nevada. More
I have purchased two cars from this company and wanted to provide an update on my post-purchase experience. In July, I bought a 2022 Arteon from this dealership, and although the sales representative is no l provide an update on my post-purchase experience. In July, I bought a 2022 Arteon from this dealership, and although the sales representative is no longer there, the finance/sales manager remains. Recently, I discovered that some of my finance paperwork, detailing the breakdown of my trade and the costs on my loan, was missing. Unfortunately, my credit union's disrespectful behavior and poor communication worsened the situation. Post-purchase, I learned that the Arteon model had been discontinued, information that would have influenced my decision. The low trade-in value, coupled with the discontinued model, has made my interactions with others concerning my car disheartening. Additionally, the car experienced electrical issues after purchase, and despite three visits to the service department, the problem remains unresolved. While the dealership was communicative during the purchasing process, attempts to reach out for assistance and information have been met with silence. Despite my expressed need for help, especially considering my health issues, the dealership has not been responsive or supportive. This situation has added unnecessary stress to my ownership experience. I am sad to say but I do not like being a VW owner and can't wait to get out of this car as it's been nothing but stress and a headache. More

I had so many problems with the autonation dealership that I ended up taking back my car and just bringing it to the Findlay location. I had a rattling coming from around my rearview mirror area after getting my windshield repaired a few weeks prior. I worked with Bob and he was AMAZING! Very communicative and you could tell that he wanted to help you. Not like he can’t wait an hour to leave work but he genuinely enjoyed helping me fix my car issues. If anything else ever happens to my car I am immediately calling up Bob, best customer service I’ve actually ever had at a dealership! He explained everything so well and didn’t make me feel incompetent when I didn’t understand something (like most car places do), seriously thank you Bob!!! More
