I would like to sincerely thank the service department for all of the hard work they did to do a major disassembly on the engine and transmission under warranty to find and repair a one-in-a-million facto for all of the hard work they did to do a major disassembly on the engine and transmission under warranty to find and repair a one-in-a-million factory defect that had been causing an oil leak on my wife's Jeep. Although the repair took a while, my service advisor (Chance) called me several times to keep me updated on the progress. More
I am writing to express my concerns regarding my recent repair experience at Albany Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (ACDJR) and the unresolved issues with my vehicle. On January 2, I brought my Jeep to ACDJR to repair experience at Albany Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (ACDJR) and the unresolved issues with my vehicle. On January 2, I brought my Jeep to ACDJR to address a concerning noise. As my vehicle is under warranty, I contacted the warranty company and initiated a claim. Unfortunately, the repair process was prolonged, and my rental car coverage under the warranty expired. The warranty company attributed the delay to communication issues with ACDJR. When I reached out to ACDJR about the situation, they initially placed blame on the warranty company. However, after explaining my circumstances—including my work schedule and family obligations—ACDJR kindly provided me with a loaner vehicle on January 16. I appreciated this resolution, as it allowed me to continue my daily responsibilities. I did not receive any updates on my vehicle until January 31, despite ACDJR having possession of it since January 2. Upon picking up my Jeep, I was unexpectedly quoted over $1,000 in additional charges. Given that my engine replacement was approved under warranty with a $300 deductible, I found this discrepancy concerning. After speaking with Michael, the final amount was adjusted to $374, which I appreciated. However, my concerns did not end there. Upon reviewing the invoice, I noticed several recommended repairs marked as "customer declined." I was never contacted about these issues and therefore did not have the opportunity to approve the repairs. Shortly after driving the vehicle, I heard a recurring noise and contacted Michael, who advised me to bring the car back. The technician informed me that the noise was due to repairs that were not completed. One issue involved a broken EVAP hose, which had previously been temporarily taped by Justin, the manager, due to part unavailability. Another problem involved a stripped exhaust stud found during the engine removal. Instead of permanent repairs, temporary fixes were made. On February 4, my check engine light came on. I have since contacted the warranty company and will need to take my Jeep to another repair shop, incurring additional expenses. I believe that ACDJR should take responsibility for these unresolved issues and either cover the cost of repairs or complete the necessary work to fix my vehicle properly. More
