I made an appt for a routine maintenance for my 2015 Mazda and was greeted by Taylor S. It was on a Friday and since I live in Oakland I needed a rental car as requested when I made the appt. When I asked Taylor about it he said "we usually dont do that" but I told him it was noted down when i made the appt he said "I will do it for you this time" I was offended as I've been going there for 5 years now, if the policy has changed due to the pandemic or changed for some reason then let me know and don't expect me to know. Moving forward, I am now renting the car and told the front desk person at the counter that I will bring it back on Tuesday since I will work in Fremont. Taylor called me several times over the weekend and left messages. The first call is their recommendation for additinal services on the car which will cost $600. When I finally got hold of him, the second time, he said that the rental car was only good for one day. I told him my rental agreement was for Tuesday by 6oclock. Again, he said it was only for a day. I told him no one communicated this new policy to me when I rented the car as I could make other arrangements and if this was such an issue the front desk would not have put the due date down for Tuesday plus Taylor could of told me this before I rented the car. Now, my issue is Taylor's lack of customer service and communication skills. Let customers know about your one-day rental car policy. Get it together Taylor S. Show some staff unity....be on the same path because it looks bad when you say something different than what was agreed upon on the rental agreement. I am a working Healthcare worker and don't intend to keep the car unless I need it to drive to different clinic locations. You made it seem as if I was trying to scammed the company. Taylor S. is not good with customers, he is rude, and somewhat arrogant. This is my first negative post for the Service Dept, usually I have positive feedbacks for my services there. Not sure why the service has gone down. Customer service means going above and beyond to keep the customer happy, whether that means answering any questions they have or resolving issues with a positive attitude, which Taylor S. lacks. Customer satisfaction should Taylor S top priority, and hopefully creating loyal, returning customers or having happy customers recommend to their family and friends, Mazda services. More
Bought a 2018 cx5 with a promise that they will install CarPlay once it is available, but never keet their promise. Also they tried to rip me off $650 for 2nd year service, when I ask why does it cost so CarPlay once it is available, but never keet their promise. While doing paperwork, Finance manager sold me t Hi All, I want to share my personal experience with Fremont Mazda. I bought CX9 from them in 2018. While doing paperwork, Finance manager sold me the insurance package. He showed me some calculations and told me if I take the pre-paid maintenance package It will be beneficial. He charged me $1800 for that and got my signature on the document. It was late and after all the negotiation, I trusted him and signed it. When I went for servicing, I asked what is included in the package. To my surprise, I was told it covers basic engine oil change and tire rotation. It didn't cover full services such as cabinet filter changes, coolant filter and other services. Had I not bought the package and got to them for servicing, it would have cost me only $99. I followed up later with the dealership but so far they are not able to show me the benefit of $1,800 /- which they charge me. Now, all that calculation which was showed during the sales process is gone out of the window. By the time I understand everything and asked for cancelation, I have gone through 3 services and they said they will pay me back only $900. To my surprise, those 3 services cost only $99 each. (how do I know that it cost only $99 - because Fremont Mazda keep sending me reminder mail for each service and sending an offer that it cost only $99 for basic services). In Summary, they have delivered only $297 worth of value while charging $900. I asked them to correct the mistake. But they are not willing. Neither they are able to show me the value. I feel like during selling process they tricked me. And now, nobody cares. Sales Manager was very rude to me when I go them to correct it. I heard the owner, Mr. Abby is a good and reasonable person but somehow he is also not helping. Not sure what option do I have. Seems like I lost $1800 for nothing. Folks, please let me know if you know what are the options do I have. How can I get help either from dealers or other channels? More
They recommended we flush the oil and coolant because they were both very dirty. (0ver $400) We took it another mechanic and it was all clean. Coolant flush recommended over 100,000 by Mazda and ours h they were both very dirty. (0ver $400) We took it another mechanic and it was all clean. Advisor said that we'd have to pay for a more expensive service to get a certified mechanic. They quoted over $300 and advisor said injector cleaner, "cleaning the crankcase" and siphoning the fuel tank to clean the fuel filter were needed... What a joke. Nearby Mazda dealer quoted us less than $100 for their service package (oil/filter change, tire rotation, fluid top-off and full inspection). Car is a 2017 with less than 10k miles. Will not be back. I booked an appointment online and I receive a request confirmation. I did not received any email/phone call/... from them. When I called them, they told me my appointment was not accepted. I talked to a guy named Andrew. I asked for his last name but he said he is the only Andrew working in Fremont Mazda. Andrew told me when I make the appointment I am supposed to follow up. He sarcastically told me that they don't care about online appointments and I should have called. I asked Andrew to talk to someone in charge and he said he is the assistance manager and manager is not available. I told him I expect better costumer service from Mazda and the fact that the online system has a bug is not my fault. He said I am curious why you didn't call after you booked the appointment! More
Been using fremont ford service for about 5 years now. I've always been very pleased with the service I have received. Employees are very helpful. And on my last visit once again the service was great and I've always been very pleased with the service I have received. Employees are very helpful.
