We were told the vehicle wasn’t yet safe to drive but that all necessary repairs would be completed before pickup. We trusted them. She picked it up in March after delays, believing it had been properly serviced and was safe to drive. Just five months later, on September 1, the car broke down and had to be towed. A mechanic discovered that major components—including the front differential and rear end—had not been assembled correctly. The shop confirmed the driveshaft, axle, brakes, and suspension had all been mishandled, making the vehicle unsafe. We had to spend nearly $4,700 (nearly half the cost of the car) to correct the issues that should have been addressed before the sale. Then, on October 4, the Pathfinder broke down again on the highway. It was towed back to the mechanic, who diagnosed a failed transmission with an estimated $7,000 repair cost — more than the vehicle’s value. In less than seven months, the car broke down twice, left my wife stranded, and cost us thousands of dollars in unexpected repairs, towing, and lost time. Based on our experience, the vehicle we purchased was not properly serviced or safe to be sold. Buyers beware: I strongly recommend caution before purchasing from this dealership or trusting their claims that a vehicle has been “fully serviced” or “safe to drive.” More
