Everyone will have a story of a time when an auto service center didn’t do a job quite right, or one in which the final cost was higher than expected. It is a very rare situation where a service center will center didn’t do a job quite right, or one in which the final cost was higher than expected. It is a very rare situation where a service center will do a simple job so wrong in such an obvious way (and try to gaslight a customer) that they soon recognize that they have to make an immediate effort to fix their mistake. This is what happened to me, a 12+ year customer. A simple replacement of a pair of tires resulted in a broken TPSM, such that the auto had an immediate “DO NOT DRIVE” warning. The service guys did not call me about this when I was told to come in to get the vehicle, nor was it on the paperwork. They admitted they “noticed the warning” and had the audacity to suggest “maybe it was like that before you dropped it off”… please note this was NOT something they called me about before replacing the tires; because it WASN’T broken. It’s one thing to ask me to muster sympathy for a flustered tech who breaks a TPSM, but it is completely shady to damage a vehicle as part of service and simply hope that a customer isn’t going to notice. Could this be why they didn’t call me for pickup until after “everyone in the shop has gone home for the day”? I suspect the service center knew how bad this looked, because it took less than 5 minutes for a service manager to appear and agree to replace the broken TPSM. Now I have to hope that the there is no other damage that was not immediately obvious. I cannot imagine why a service center would choose to be so obviously deceitful. I’ve tolerated some sloppy work from them in the last five years, ranging from lost (i.e. not-replaced) battery covers, missing valve stem covers, cars being left unlocked in their lot, all the way to more serious issues like loose oil filters that leak and missed/ignored diagnostic codes. Sloppy work is enough to damage a reputation, what I experienced has earned them a very bad reputation. More
Awesome service department. I've gotten to interact with nearly all of the agents. They're pretty consistent. Prompt, courteous, cost sensitive and friendly...they actually knew I've gotten to interact with nearly all of the agents. They're pretty consistent. Took my car in for service—Dominic was the representative in service—he went above and beyond helping me with my problem. He was working by himself and yet he stopped to help me .The problem was solved and fi in service—he went above and beyond helping me with my problem. He was working by himself and yet he stopped to help me .The problem was solved and fixed early the next day. I count this as very great customer service. He also didn’t try to sell me something I didn’t need like many dealerships—I really appreciate that More
DO NOT get service on your vehicle done at this dealership. They will rob you for any dollar they can and will. I took my car in complaining about a front end noise with my brakes and I don’t know dealership. They will rob you for any dollar they can and will. I took my car in complaining about a front end noise with my brakes and I don’t know what they did to “inspect” for 4 hours, but all they told me when I picked up the car was something I already knew and they charged me $60 for it. They failed to even inspect the car half-xxx and I know this because it took my dad and I less than 5 minutes to find that my caliper was stuck and the whole back of my brake pad was gone. I’m lucky my car didn’t catch on fire on the road after Dominik told me it was safe to drive. Very disappointed as I have been a customer for years and thought I could trust a dealership more than this. Don’t leave your vehicle in the hands of these “professionals.” I will not be returning to this dealership and will be telling everyone I know to stay away too. More
The Body Shop at Gene Butman Ford was extremely professional in preparing an estimate and replacing the bumper cover on my Bullitt Mustang. Blair, Brandon and the body shop crew kept me informed on professional in preparing an estimate and replacing the bumper cover on my Bullitt Mustang. Had a stress crack in the windshield of my 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. Brought it in to service to see if the crack would fall under my warranty. Was told that it was a stress crack and had 2 separate opini Bronco Sport. Brought it in to service to see if the crack would fall under my warranty. Was told that it was a stress crack and had 2 separate opinions while examining it. Did the pen test along the whole crack. They both said there was NO impact spot. Fast Forward 2 days. Take it back in. They re-examine the crack. Still nothing. So then start to do the work, n then Butman decided that while my windshield was out my car, that they would somehow get a crack in my window. So that's what happened. They bring me over to look at the "impact" point that just somehow appeared AFTER the windshield is out of the vehicle. How do I know it didn't happen while it was being taken out?! SHADY!! Will not be back for service. Pretty upset because I then had to call insurance company while my car is halfway through being fixed. After being told 3 times that it was a stress crack. Jokes on Butman. The auto glass company even said that it was Bull***t that they used the crack after the removal of the glass to justify the lack of warranty coverage. So my next crack will be taken care of without the use of Gene Butman but instead will be taken care of directly by the auto glass company...for free. First service experience with Gene Butman. Shady as xxxx. If you have a warranty issue, make sure you have your insurance ready to go. Because they'll find anyway to not honor warranty. More
I talked with part’s manager, Tim, today regarding a situation regarding my car key fob. He took the time to discuss the situation with me and made a recommendation that solved the problem. Otherwise, situation regarding my car key fob. He took the time to discuss the situation with me and made a recommendation that solved the problem. Otherwise, I could have spent money that I didn’t need to. Thank you, Tim. It’s becoming more difficult to find good service and people who are polite, positive and care. More
