I honestly cannot say enough GREAT things about Genesis of Mentor. They REALLY stand behind their customers and support their customers 100%. I will give you a detailed example of a situation that happe of Mentor. They REALLY stand behind their customers and support their customers 100%. I will give you a detailed example of a situation that happened to my original 2025 GV80 and how Genesis of Mentor “stepped up to the plate and hit a home run !” Back in June 2025, I picked up my original 2025 GV80. I loved that vehicle. In the 2nd week of July 2025, I was returning from New York to Cleveland and driving on I-80 when all of a sudden every single warning light lit up on the dash display, warning chimes started ringing and the car went into “limp mode”. I “limped” another 50 miles to my dealer Genesis of Mentor where they needed to keep my car and give me a loner. After 2 weeks in service they found out that the two main wiring harnesses that go from the front of the car to the rear had failed. By this time I was upset and sat down with AJ, the General Manager. It was determined that the best course of action would be for Genesis Motors North America would buy back my GV80. Well…. This process took 3 months and 2 weeks to complete!!! NOT Genesis of Mentor’s fault at all! But rather corporate’s fault! AJ (the GM), Zach (the Finance Manager) and CJ (my EXCELLENT Salesperson) “shifted into high gear” and made sure to smooth things out. Finally on November 12, 2025, I returned to Genesis of Mentor to complete the Buy Back process. My old GV80 was now back in corporate’s hands and I was driving a new 2025 GV80. I can honestly say that Genesis of Mentor was there for me every step of the way. If it wasn’t for their diligent, efficient, professional manner to get this problem resolved, I would have been beyond frustrated. But I’m not frustrated….. I am VERY happy and content. Thank You, Genesis of Mentor!!!! As for Genesis corporate…. DO BETTER! — Why did I have to wait SO LONG for this process? — WHY did I continue to pay my loan payments on the BROKEN GV80 for 3 MONTHS and get NO credit for the time I could NOT drive my own car? — Why did *I* , the customer who was inconvenienced have to come up with $18k of MY money to complete the Buy Back transaction? I would have thought that a Billion dollar corporation would have absorbed that $18k to please the customer and make things right. But, NO! Genesis Corporate could not care less about me, the inconvenienced customer! Again, thank GOODNESS that my dealer, Genesis of Mentor “went to bat” for me and made this all good. I will continue to buy Genesis vehicles in my future ONLY because of Genesis of Mentor and for the wonderful hard work and dedication of AJ, Zach, and CJ!! More

She has answered all our questions even after we have been home with our car the past couple days. Alejandro (sorry if I spelled that wrong) was great and very helpful with negotiating a great deal on our trade and getting us into the GV80! We found a car we were very interested in online. Lisa Albanese was the salesperson who contacted us. One of the worst customer experiences we have ever had. We were looking to purchase from out Lisa Albanese was the salesperson who contacted us. One of the worst customer experiences we have ever had. We were looking to purchase from out of state and had many questions. Due to a busy work schedule and kids in travel sports, we were going to have the car delivered as we did not have time for the 6+ hour round trip. When I spoke with Lisa about us having the car inspected by another dealership, she questioned why we would need to do that as Genesis had inspected the car. When I asked for a copy of the inspection, we received a blank document. No VIN. No vehicle Make/Model etc... no boxes checked. Nothing other than comments on brakes and tires. Certainly not a full inspection. When we questioned this, after multiple communications, we were told the inspection would need to be redone. Many days later, we finally received a completed copy. We probably should have moved on at this point, but my wife had her heart set on this make, model, color. Since we were purchasing from out of state and having the vehicle delivered, I asked about our 72 hour right of refusal if the vehicle did not meet certain conditions. When I asked Lisa about this, she did not have any knowledge of it and simply told me the vehicle is sold "As IS' which she repeated many times instead of trying to get the information I was looking for. On July 1, I purchased a vehicle for myself from a different dealership and the finance manager clearly explained I had 3 days/100 miles to return the vehicle if I was not satisfied with it. Lisa apparently is not aware of this legal requirement. In trying to talk to Lisa and later the used car Manager Nate (or Nick) they would interrupt us when we were trying to ask questions for clarity and of course, multiple times throughout the process we were told that someone else was coming in the morning to purchase the car... using the oldest sales tactic to pressure us into make a decision. When attempting to negotiate on price, which Genesis would NOT, they denied the car having sat at their dealership for weeks even though CarFax clearly indicated this. I could go on... obviously we walked away from this and would not recommend anyone purchasing from Genesis of Mentor. More
