This was my first personal experience with Gettel Hyundai. I dropped off my car on Monday (May 2nd) to have the AC recharged, repair a CV axle, and perform an oil change. Communication was lacking through the entire process. I had to keep calling every few days just to get an update on how things were looking. Most of me calling was getting sent directly to voicemail, or talking to someone, who then redirected me to voicemail. It took over a week to get the part in, which meant in the end, they had my car for almost 2 whole weeks. After finally getting my car back on May 13th, I noticed that while being repaired, my front right interior passenger door handle had been broken. Not wanting to have them keep it for however much longer, I decided to do the replacement myself. I am happy that they were able to knock the price down a bit, but I truly wish communication would have been much better. More
My second (likely my last) visit to Gettel Hyundai of Lakewood. Mark Phillips appeared dismissive and condescending. The sales person an finance person was professional. However the doc fees are twice the state average and 3 times the national average. The negotiation took several days to reach a somewhat fair price. However the doc fees are twice the state average and 3 times the national average. The dealership, in my opinion is beyond greedy and has no interest in repeat customers. I could not in good conscious recommend this dealership to anyone out of fear they will be taken advantage of.
