I had taken my 2 Civics {2016 and 2018}, to another dealer for the Oil/Fuel and Condenser Recalls. After determinating they did everything incorrectly on both Recalls and the A/C in the 2018 did not wo dealer for the Oil/Fuel and Condenser Recalls. After determinating they did everything incorrectly on both Recalls and the A/C in the 2018 did not work when they were done, I called Honda Corporate to see if take I could another dealer under the original recall to find out what was wrong. The first dealer had done so much damage to both my cars I was not willing to take either car back to the first dealer "EVER" again, they screwed up so many things up during the "Repairs". I contacted Great Lakes Honda and spoke with the Service Manager (Andrew) about my situation. He told me to bring it in. As it turned out, Andrew had unexpected business to attend to and was not at the dealership when I arrived. The whole experience from that point on was "Impressive" to say the least ! I went up to the first service writer "Matt" looking for Andrew. Although Andrew was not there, Matt found Andrew's notes in the computer. Without any questions or arguements, Matt took my car in, gave me a loaner and within 4 hours they found out the problem. I returned the loaner and got my car, free of charge. The other dealer had put too much Freon in the system, causing it to shut down. Not surprising though, as they had over filled both civics with motor oil during the Oil/Fuel Recall. (2.5 qts too much I might add-6 qts instead of 3.75 qts) I highly recommend Great Lakes Honda for repairs. As much as I dislike taking any of my vehicles to a dealer for anything, I feel VERY comfortable with Great Lakes. It sure is NICE having A/C again ! More

I had a 1:30 appointment for an oil change and got a flat on my way there. I called their service department and kept them updated the whole time. Not once did the receptionist ask me to reschedule if I couldn’t make it by a certain time. My car insurance failed to send me a efficient person to change my tire and didn’t send a tow. 2 hours later, I call to tell them I’m on my way thanks to my fiancé who put my spare on and the receptionist says, “we close in 10 mins”. I politely ask her to transfer me to the service department since I communicated with them several times since getting the flat. I was on hold for a bit, ended up hanging up because I was 2 mins away at this point. I pull into the service garage, someone greets me. I tell them I had an appointment but had a flat. I simply ask if they could just change my tire since I had already called and it was in stock. I explained I would get the oil change a different day and “they” say “we can’t change a tire by 4:00”. Just because you close at 4, doesn’t necessarily mean you leave at 4 on the dot. Already defeated by the xx my roadside assistance put me through, I just walk away and get back into my car, frustrated. The only reason why I marked it 2 stars is because of the nice gentleman that approached my car and directed me to Avon Discount Tire. Big thank you to him! From now on, I will go elsewhere for service on my vehicle. I wish I could pay it off sooner and not have to deal with them at all. More

Always great service. Elle, Mike, and Mara did super handling my van. My mechanic was excellent. Sorry I did not get his name. He was very clear on why the problem with starting car happened and explai handling my van. My mechanic was excellent. Sorry I did not get his name. Excellent and timely service. Clean waiting area with drinks provided. Knowledgeable and courteous service staff. This is my second Pilot. I bought my present Pilot from a different dealership but will always bring my car back to this dealership because I have always been treated professionally. Whenever I have a question or need an appointment Mike Gantz has always been able to answer my questions or has been able to accommodate the needs of my car. I have found that the quality of the workmanship to be excellent. The mechanic, Mike Verhovitz, has always been thorough and keeps me udated on what needs to be done on my Pilot. More
