Bill Sumner in the Gurnee VW Service Department is professional and as prompt as he can be. As a long time customer I’ve noticed over the years that the turnover rate has excelled higher than any busi professional and as prompt as he can be. Bad experience, I bring my VW in for oil change and it took your team almost 2 1/2 hrs just to do oil change. I will never coming back to your place again and I will tell all my friends not to bring their took your team almost 2 1/2 hrs just to do oil change. Extremely poor service. It was raining when I get there, and the 2 people who saw me pull up didn't have the courtesy to move the vehicle sitting in front of me so I wouldn' It was raining when I get there, and the 2 people who saw me pull up didn't have the courtesy to move the vehicle sitting in front of me so I wouldn't have to get wet. After 5 minutes of waiting, I had to get out in the rain. On top of that, it took 2 hours and 15 minutes for them to do my inspection and they couldn't even reset my inspection notice in the vehicle. They said only 2 people who worked there could do it and they were both off work that day. Talk about inconvenience. They shouldn't have even scheduled me to come in unless 1 of those 2 workers were in. Also, I needed to use the bathroom multiple times and the women's bathroom only had 1 out of 7 lights working. I had to pee in the dark. What a joke. More

Purchased a new vehicle that I was informed by salesman was equipped with a safety feature. After purchase (same day) I realized it did NOT have the feature installed and contacted the dealership the next was equipped with a safety feature. After purchase (same day) I realized it did NOT have the feature installed and contacted the dealership the next day. Asked to speak with general manager but was only able to speak with sales associate. I communicated that, due to the circumstances (which also involved inaccurate information on VW's corporate website) wanted to exchange the vehicle for a different model. I received an unclear response from the sales associate and decided to visit the dealership in-person. I was initially told the deal would be "unwound" and I could shop for another new vehicle. Believing that the dealership was going to work with me, I selected another vehicle. After selection I was presented with new paperwork showing they were attempting to take the new vehicle back on "trade" (with a loss of several thousand dollars). After repeated back-and-forth with the sales associate and the sales manager I was able to walk the deal back. I realize unwinding vehicle sales is voluntary for the dealership, however after I was informed they would do this I should not have been bait-and-switched into a deal that did not honor what they had promised. This is unfortunate as I will be purchasing another VW in the coming weeks and would have taken my business back to Gurnee VW if things were handled in a responsible and ethical manner. More

Pathetic customer service. I bought a Nissan gtr from this dealership which was probably the highest priced car on their parking lot. Drove 5 hours and 30 mins to pickup this car and also bought the warranty. When a year passed I had some major engine issues but the warranty refused to cover It because the dealership sold me a warranty they never should have sold in the first place. I tried to get ahold of the manager for a month and only was able to reach him twice. I also sent them emails. Currently the complaint has been filed with the attorney General. I would recommend no one to buy their cars from this dealership as their service is pathetic. More
