I brought my 2021 Nissan Kicks to Nissan Hayward for one reason: to get the infotainment system firmware updated. I had researched the issue in detail and found that this model has known problems with speak reason: to get the infotainment system firmware updated. I had researched the issue in detail and found that this model has known problems with speaker crackling and buzzing, which are often resolved through a firmware update. I clearly communicated this when I scheduled the appointment and again in person when I dropped off the car. Despite that, the update was not performed. I was told that “no update was needed,” even though my car is still running software version 262, a version that is well out of date. I later confirmed that there is a newer version (550) available for my model, which many owners have had installed to fix exactly the kind of issue I reported. Instead of doing what I asked, I was charged $320 for a diagnostic that addressed none of my concerns. I had specifically told the advisor that we were planning to sell the car and didn’t want to invest any more money into it. That context was ignored, and I left with the exact same issue I came in with, only now out $320. To make matters worse, I was told the owner would follow up with me later that day. No one ever called. There were no missed calls or voicemails. When I followed up again, I was told they had called, which simply isn’t true. This experience felt like a complete dismissal of what I brought the car in for. I didn’t need a general diagnostic. I needed a specific firmware update, which I requested repeatedly. The lack of follow-through and poor communication made it worse. I won’t be coming back to Nissan Hayward and wouldn’t recommend them to others, especially if you already know what service your vehicle needs and expect to be taken seriously. More

I went in for an oil change and it was only a penny! I also picked up some wiper inserts for only 88 cents! I am a loyal fan from this day on!
