We made the drive to MD because the deal seemed too good to be true, Low mileage Honda Accord for UNDER BOOK VALUE! Everyone was cordial to our face. The test drive was carefully planned so that we would not notice the problems with the car. All the doors were left unlocked so we wouldn't discover that ALL the locks jam and the key barely functions. There are no auto locks so you HAVE to use the keys to get in and out and the locking mechanisms were in horrific shape, the key barely goes into the mechanism. Then the radio was kept off during the test drive as well. This hid the fact that the stereo system doesn't work. When the car was inspected the rear brakes were in dangerous condition needing immediately replaced. Then we applied for a loan for the entire amount with no down payment, which most financing companies don't go for. We were given the name of a company that our loan was to be through, signed all the paperwork and left. On a very slow day (only one other person came in for any reason when we were there) it took 5 hours to accomplish this! THEN I get a phone call a few days after we took the car home, saying the paperwork wasn't filled out correctly and they were going to send it in the mail for me to resign. BUT this was NOT the reason. The finance company they had originally signed us up for, declined the loan. So they needed me to re-sign everything for a different company. I am not sure why I was lied to, but that is irrelevant. I DON'T LIKE DEALING WITH LIARS AND THIS WAS DISHONESTY STRIKE THREE! I wrote a letter very diplomatically explaining the above complaints. Wallace, the paperwork jockey who lied to me about the paperwork, called me up to ask me if I was returning the paperwork and he blew off everything I had said! SO IF YOU WISH TO BE LIED TO AND BE TREATED WITH DISHONESTY, YOU SHOULD GO TO HERB GORDON VOLVO. THEY SPECIALIZE IN THAT.

I emailed with the manager, Mr. Larson and received very prompt reply. The price Mr. Larson offered is unmatchable by other dealers. Mr. Awad drove 2 hours to pick me up and stayed late to show me all the features of the new S60. It's been such a great experience and I highly recommend the Herb Gordon Volvo to everyone!

Walked in knowing little about buying a used vehicle and was skeptical about being snowballed as the previous dealers I had visited didn't seem to disclose all the information about the cars that I was interested in purchasing.

Doc was amazing, really helped to get a good price for the car I was looking to buy and was open and honest about the entire process. Very easy to get a straight answer and I felt really comfortable the whole time. When my husband came to approve the selection, there was no hidden information revealed that I hadn't already heard which would have derailed the purchase.

Im really happy with the car I ended up buying and trust that Doc and the rest of the team at Herb Gordon will be easy to work with in the future for service and our next volvo purchase.

I have nothing but the highest praise for this dealership and the sale of my new car. This is the 3rd Volvo I've purchased from them. I just read the brochure for the model I wanted, and told Doc the options I wanted and they made it happen.

After 8 years, I had to let go of my Landrover Discovery. I needed to buy a vehicle so I did my research and decided to buy a Volvo. Safe vehicles with longevity+++ I read the great reviews about Herb Gordon Volvo and decided to check them out. The salesman Doc greeted us and asked us to take our time as we toured the lot because he would be available to answer any questions we might have. I already knew that I wanted an XC60 but was unsure of the model. I test drove the T6 and was in love! I appreciated Doc showing us all the vehicle's features and how they support the driver/passenger and being patient with the barrage of questions I tossed his way.

The pricing negotiation was seamless. I got a great deal on a 2012 model. The financing was great. They beat my credit union's pre-approved rate. I met the manager and the service team. I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful long-term relationship. I definitely would go back again.

I live in Alexandria, VA and wanted to buy a Volvo XC60. The salesman at Don Beyer Volvo was not rude, but he was disinterested and dismissive. He gave me a vehicle to drive (he declined to go along for the test drive) and I finalized my decision to purchase one. If you can't answer my questions and show me how the features work, I won't give you my check to cash.I called Herb Gordon and was given an appointment with Laurie Miller. Well, I happily drove away in my stunning new XC60 yesterday, three days after our initial meeting!
You know the dreaded "back and forth" with the sales manager? It didn't happen with Laurie and her Sales Manager, Ed Sarecky. Ed came out of his office, shook my hand and gave me his cell phone number. I wanted to buy a Volvo and they wanted to sell one, it was that simple.
This dealership is what I never imagined existed, the easy button of car buying. I had such a great experience that I am almost sorry it's over, all but the driving of the fabulous new XC60 that is mine, all mine.

My recent new car buying experience with Herb Gordon was the best I've ever had. All of the employees mentioned above were pleasant, low-key, helpful and professional. It began with Laurie, my salesperson. I was trying to decide between two trim lines and when I arrived for my first visit, she had both cars waiting for me side by side so I could easily compare them. Next, when I was talking with Matt who is one of the finance people, Ed, the general manager popped in and introduced himself. We had a great discussion about buying versus leasing and he also gave me some valuable insight on what options to buy in terms of how they would impact the resale value. After checking with a number of lenders, Matt was able to obtain an interest rate that was much lower than I could find myself. Craig, the sales manager, gave me a great price that I didn't have to haggle for which was lower than two other local dealerships that were playing the usual games. I special ordered my car and it arrived when it was promised. Craig told me that if any new dealer incentives were offered between when I ordered the car and when it was delivered, they would be passed on to me. I must admit I was a little skeptical as how would I know anyway, but sure enough there was an incentive and it was passed on to me. So, the bottom line is if you are looking for a Volvo, Herb Gordon is the place to go.

Low pressure sales approach was outstanding. I did not feel uncomfortable or that I was being forced to listen to a canned speech like did at another dealership. Jim gave me all the information I needed and was extremely helpful and pleasant. I got exactly the car I wanted and I love it. I will buy my next car from here and definitely recommend the dealership and Jim.

I came to Herb Gordon Volvo because of the outstanding job Laurie Miller did in responding to all of my questions. She was equally outstanding when I came to the dealership and in handling my sales process. I was less happy about my experience with Greg/Craig, the Sales Manager. He was abrupt and rushed the process. I only stayed and purchased the car because of Laurie.

The whole experience exceeded my expectations. George Awad, my sales consultant, was professional, respectful, and very patient teaching this old lady all the bells and whistles on my 2012 S60. Matt Diorio, the sales manager, was able to negotiate a financing package with a lower APR than I had obtained previously when I was pre-approved prior to my visit. Needless to say, I'm thrilled with my new Volvo!
