I drove two hundred miles to buy a car from this dealership and I would do it again. Nick and Dan worked to get me the best price and best finance rate. I initially spoke with a sales associate who assured me they had located and secured the exact vehicle I wanted at a dealership within their network. He confirmed there were three identical models coming available soon and promised that one would be reserved for me. I clarified multiple times that he was certain I would receive at least one of the three, and he assured me that was the case. He explained that some or all of these vehicles would be sourced from a sister dealerships for my purchase. Later, He emailed me a vehicle contract agreement, including specific details, VIN, and pricing, signed by the manager and asked that I place a $500 deposit, finalizing our agreement which I promptly did. To honor this agreement, I passed on an identical vehicle that became available at another dealership. However, after not hearing any updates, I contacted the dealership on October 5th to schedule pickup, only to learn that the vehicle had been sold to someone else. They claimed the sales agreement was a mistake, stating the vehicle had already been sold. When I inquired about the other identical vehicles and another vehicle scheduled to arrive at their dealership, I was reassigned to a new salesman. He informed me that they had no other vehicles available in their network or inventory. I raised the point that I saw online that the exact vehicle I was looking for was scheduled to arrive and appeared to be available, which he then checked and confirmed that the vehicle had also been sold to someone else who had placed a deposit. He brushed off my concerns, explaining that it was a "hard-to-find color and type" and simply promised to “look and see” if they could find one elsewhere. This was a complete change from what I had been told at the beginning of my buying journey. I understand that mistakes happen—we’re all human. However, what disappointed me most was my impression of both sales associates carelessness in the original deal's details and the subsequent lack of concern expressed when that deal fell through. While they recognized it was a mistake, instead of providing an unconditional commitment to find the vehicle (as I initially understood), they seemed to dismiss my frustration over the original salesman’s promises to me. When I mentioned this to the new salesman, he simply responded, “I don’t know what to say; we just don’t have the vehicle.” In summary, I was initially informed that three vehicles were available, and given absolute verbal assurance one would be sourced to me. However, one vehicle was sold, and another, which was en route to the dealership, had already been reserved for another buyer. When I expressed confusion about the original information, the new salesman's response was simply a “shrug” and a statement that they would keep looking on my behalf. I felt as though I was back to square one. What began as a positive experience quickly turned negative. More
