My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
I have owned 3 used cars before, and the experience at Highline Imports was by far the best!! They offered CarFax info without asking for it, they explained my vehicle inside and out, and not to mention I was in and out in an hour or less! I've never had a process go so short and smoothly! It went sooo quickly that I can't even remember everyone who helped me! I will be back and I have already started spreading the word! I traveled from Ga to purchase with Highline Imports and I will do it again in a heartbeat!!!!!!

My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
I wouldn’t buy an orange from this dealership.

I purchased an Acura from these guys in February. When looking at the car, I immediately brought a few things to their attention and made it clear I was not interested if they could not fix them. A busted fog lamp, no navigation disc, a spot of paint missing on the rear bumper and worn out foam on the driver's seat bolster. I asked SEVERAL times to make sure these items would be taken care of.

I sold my trade to CarMax because they offered me more and Highline argued, as a small dealer, they could not match what CarMax offered. That seemed perfectly reasonable to me. The salesman and I discussed a price prior to me leaving the dealership to sell my car. Upon my return, I was informed the salesman misspoke and the ACTUAL price of the vehicle was $1,000 more than we’d agreed and they wouldn’t take a penny less. Frustrated, and without a vehicle, I was eager to close the deal and put it behind me. At closing, they typed all of the aforementioned items into a “We Owe” agreement (which is an absolute joke).

Before leaving, I made an appointment to bring my car in, before work, for the repairs and was told several times, by more than one person, a loaner car would be available. When I arrived, I was told all of the loaner cars had been loaned out. I had a friend take me to work. When I came back in the evening, only the fog lamp had been replaced. I was told the seat padding could not be replaced unless the seat itself was replaced and that was not something they were going to do because the vehicle was purchased "as-is," despite MULTIPLE conversations I had with the dealership prior to purchasing my vehicle. They recommended taking it to Acura and having it replaced under the vehicle warranty. They also began trying random nav discs, attempting to find one that worked in my vehicle. They ended up having to order one. I called each week for a month trying to get the disc. Finally, I stopped by the dealership and was told the owner was out of town and the disc was locked in his office and it would be the following week before I could get it. The next week, I dropped my vehicle off for them to install the disc, and touch up the paint on the bumper. They installed the disc, but still did not paint the bumper.

Shortly after, I received a letter in the mail from the dealership, with the owner’s card attached, inviting me to share my experience online and call the owner’s cell phone with any problems. In a final attempt to right of all that has gone wrong, I called the owner and left a voicemail asking him to return my call about my experience. I never heard back from him. I ended up paying to have my seat and bumper fixed and would sooner walk to work than purchase another vehicle from this dealership.

Mr. Taylor,

Your purchase date was 02/04/2012 and you had a 60 day exchange - If you were so unhappy with your vehicle, you did have the oppotunity to exchange it.

The $1000.00 difference that you speak of - as our Sales Manager explained to you, the car was listed incorrectly and there was no way that we could sell it to anyone at that price.

We do not have so-called "loaner cars" - all cars that you see on our lot are for sale and none are/have been designated as a loaner car and this is something we NEVER do, under any circumstance.

You had two appointments in our Service Department. During those appointment times, we discovered that the Navigation disc that we were going to use for your car, would not work so we resorted to taking a disc from another car, same year as yours, which still would not work. So, we ended up having to order for your 2009 Acura, the most up-to-date navigation disc which was a 2012 version.

The issue with your seat - you didn't like the way it felt when you sat in it and the only option that we had was to add more foam to it and you declined.

Lastly of the "we owe" - your bumper. We did do a TOUCH-UP on the areas that were needed.

You bought a pre-owned vehicle, a 2009 which luckily still had the manufacturer warranty on it. We always encourage a customer to utilize that before it expires. If you are this unhappy with your 2009 Acura with 26,000 miles on it, maybe your next car should just be a brand new one.

Highline Imports, Inc. satisfied its obligation to you.

Jason went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of from beginning to end while purchasing a vehicle. There were some minor issues with completing some repairs, but upon reaching out to Jason, he went out of his way to personally handle the scheduling and approval process. His interaction with us, and his personable demeanor made for a wonderful buying experience and I would recommend Highline Imports, specifically Jason Shaw, to anyone who is looking to buy a late model import vehicle.

My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
From the first day I walked on to the car lot, I had nothing but great service from Tyler. I communicated with Tyler for a week as to when I would be back. I returned a week later to purchase my 2007 Infiniti G35X. Tyler never was pushy as most sales man are, he was straight with me from day one and kept me informed about my financing. Once I started the process of all the paperwork, the entire financing staff were very informative, communicating with me about my credit, loan terms, etc. They were very quick and didn't make me sit at the dealership all day long. The entire process was only 2 1/2 hours and 30 minutes of that was getting my new car detailed and ready for me to drive!!! Buying a car can be stressful, but EVERYONE at your lot was great and I would buy another car again here again. I will be referring people here in the future and will for sure send them straight to Tyler!! Thank you all so very much!!!!

Employee(s) Dealt With: Rami Achdut, Jason Shaw

My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
When no other car dealership would help me get out of a terrible car situation, Jason Shaw at Highline Imports Inc., was absolutely, an answer to my prayers.

I called Highline Imports, and spoke with Jason on a Saturday, went through the application process Sunday, and by Tuesday, I was in a new (new to me!) 2008 Infiniti g35. I cannot explain the relief that my husband and I felt to have someone to help us, finally.

After going to dealership, after dealership, on the weekends, every time I left feeling like:

A. they were trying to put me in what kind of car they wanted to put me in, and
B. that there was no way possible to help me get out of the previous dealership catastrophe that encountered about a year ago.

Jason kept me updated on any information as he received it. After he LISTENED to what kind of car I was looking for, and what the financial situation would be, Jason quickly got the numbers together to call me back and let me know that he thought he could help me.

I went to Highline Imports, Inc. immediately to speak with Jason face-to-face. He quickly let me know where I stood, compared it to where I wanted to be, and was honest about what exactly he could do for me. Jason worked very hard to actually meet every request that I had in the very first conversation with him and kept me updated with every step of the way. More so, Jason actually gave me an UNDERSTANDING of the entire process.

The true difference that made the entire experience even more comforting and reassuring, than any other car place that I went to (even Carmax), is that Jason kept trying. He didn’t stop. He continued to work diligently in finding a solution to help me. He would communicate with higher authorities at Highline Imports (manager or owner) to explore every option that he could to help me in my situation.

What a blessing.

Words cannot express what a blessing you are to me, and my family, to get out of the previous car situation. Thank you Jason so very much (and Highline Imports) for reminding me, and for showing me that there are still good people in the world that want to, and are WILLING to, put in the time and effort to help people in specific situations. Jason, you met every expectation, and beyond.

You were God's answer to my prayers. Thank you again.

Rami,
I received your letter and business cards in the mail. I appreciate your follow up as well. As well as, Jason's additional follow up phone call to make sure that everything has been going okay with the car (it absolutely has! i love it!).
Jason is a true asset to your company.
I appreciate the opportunity and success of doing buisness with Highline Imports, Inc.

Thank you again.

My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
From the time I met Jimmy Adams he was extremly honest and helpful in placing me in a different vehicle. I actually located the car on their website one night around 8:00 and to my suprise he responded almost instantly with his contact information. I assumed I would receive an automated email the next day, if any at all.

At no time did he or anyone else associated with Highline Imports pressure or hastle me into buying a new car. This has been a hard to find quality amoung most dealerships I've delt with. Jimmy and the rest of the associates kept it simple and quick with what I believed to be a good deal.

This vehicle was for my wife, but for whatever it's worth I am considering revisiting them later in the summer for one of my own. For the first time in my buying history I left the dealership feeling good about the purchase; for this I highly recommend using Highline.

Sincerely,

Wes Spiller

Employee(s) Dealt With: Rami, Bob, Andrew

My Review of Highline Imports Inc.:
I purchased a car on 12/1/11. From the beginning they were dishonest. The tire light was on when I left the dealership. I was told by Bob that "the light would go off, it was cold outside and the tires had to warm up". Also the drivers headlight had moisture in it that they said they would fix. The next day the light was still on, took to a local tire place to check. They found the tires were over inflated and 3 tire pressure sensors were bad. I called the dealership immediately, they said they would replace the sensors as soon as I could bring it in. I told them I was going to Disney World I would bring it when I got back. While in Disney World the drivers tire went flat. I had to have the vehicle towed to Orlando Infiniti. I found out that the rim on the car had been tampered with, the positive battery terminal was "rigged" (direct quote from an Infiniti dealership)and the power steering hose had a leak. This cost $718.00. They put my spare tire on so I could drive it home. I called my local dealership to order a new rim. It was $864.18 that had to be paid in advance. In the process of waiting on the rim to come in the passanger side tire went flat. Come to find out all 4 rims were corroded and bent. At this point I have one new rim I had to pay for on the car but am looking at having to replace the other 3. I get an estimate for new rims and go to the dealership to talk with Mike, the general manager. Mike pretty much said it was my problem now. He didnt want to do anything to fix the problem. He gave me Rami's phone number (the owner) and told me he wasnt dealing with me anymore that I was being unreasonable by wanting them to pay for the rims. Talked with Rami, he assured me he wanted to fix this problem. They would replace the rims or take rims off another car they had and put them on mine but he wanted to "make this right". I made sure he knew that I had already replaced the drivers front rim. He said they would have the car towed from Montgomery to Birmingham to fix the problem. I reminded him about the tire sensors and the headlight. They picked up with car on 1-5-12. I gave them ample time to fix the problems before contacting them. They put me off with several excuses. First it was they were going to have the rims repaired, that couldnt be done. Then it was, well we ordered rims from a company we dont normally use and they came in and wouldnt fit. They finally said they ordered NEW rims and the car would be ready on 2-21-12 (they had the car 47 days!) I arrived on 2-22-12 to pick up my car and they say it could not be released until I paid for the new rims and towing! A charge was NEVER discussed. In fact I told Mike when I found out about the rims that I would NOT pay a penny more for this car. The dealership was to assume responsibility for the repairs. I waited for 3 hours going back and forth with Andrew about the charges. He said the owner would be there to discuss it with me. The owner never showed up, they still wouldnt give me my car until I paid for the rims. I asked how much, he said that the cost of the NEW rims were $800 each with a total of $2400. I decided to pay half with the understanding that I would get the keys to my car and sue them for the money I was having to pay. On my way home from the dealership the service engine light came on, I took the car to my local Infiniti dealership to find out that the 3 rims they put on the car were NOT NEW and the new one I put on was taken off and replaced with a used rim. Also the headlight and tire sensors were never fixed. It cost me $300 to have the sensors fixed. An estimate of $1100 was given to fix the headlight. As of today I have called the dealership 4 times and havent gotten a response. I fully intend to pursue this legally.

Ms. Allen - Here is a copy of what we responded officially to the BBB.

In regards to Ms. Allen’s complaint – this vehicle was purchased directly from Infiniti as an off lease vehicle. It was thoroughly inspected by Infiniti and is under full Factory Warranty (Bumper to Bumper.) We have copies of the condition report which shows the car is in good condition with no problems. Also, this vehicle was a one owner, has a clean Carfax with no reported problems.

The allegation that we “rigged the rims” on her vehicle is completely false and outlandish. Ms. Allen had driven the car for many days and even drove it all the way to Orlando, Florida. There’s no way she could have driven that far with what she is claiming. Ms. Allen could have easily ran over a curb or something on the road and decided to blame us.

Ms. Allen did return to our office, was very confrontational with my Manger and I did get involved and out of courtesy, I told her we would check out her claims but we would need her to do a visual inspection. We paid for Ms. Allen’s car to be towed from Montgomery to our Dealership, which was several hundred dollars.

There was a time delay in inspecting Ms. Allen’s car – but mainly because the Infiniti dealership that had the vehicle, sent us the wrong key. So, Ms. Allen’s car sat on our lot for a week and we could not even move it. We phoned Ms. Allen on several occasion and she stated that she would send another key which she did via USPS and we received it almost twelve (12) days later. Our fear was that the USPS had lost it so we called a Locksmith and ordered a new key, another couple hundred dollars and we did notify Ms. Allen of this and the associated cost.

As far as the rims, we ordered four (4) rims online that were guaranteed and in “like new” condition to replace her rims. At no fault of ours, it took the company several weeks to send the rims to us. Meanwhile, we replaced her current rims with a set we had taken off another Infiniti that we had on our lot, just to expedite the process. These rims that we placed on her car were “like new” and were in perfect condition. Our Service Advisor, Andrew, did keep Ms. Allen in the loop about all that was going on and the delays we were running into. At no time, was Ms. Allen ever ignored or over-looked. As of today, Ms. Allen has contributed to the total repairs of her car less than 50% and we honestly didn’t owe her anything.

As far as the power steering hose, this is the first time I am hearing about it. The Infiniti dealership should have fixed it for her under warranty and it should not have cost her anything. And, the moisture on the headlight most likely happened when they steam cleaned the engine at the Infiniti sale and it can be easily fixed. We will be glad to do it at no charge for her. Also we had purchased four (4) tire sensors for her and gave them to her at no charge.

Unfortunately, this is all we are able to do for Ms. Allen. We truly try to help our customers after the sale but we must draw the line somewhere.

Respectfully,

Rami Achdut
President

So your response to my claim is I ran over a curb, damaged ALL 4 rims myself, had them put back on the car in a deceitful manner then decided to blame you?? Note: I also paid for towing of this vehicle to Orlando Infiniti. What about the NEW $864.18 rim that I paid for and had Montgomery Infiniti put on the car that your dealership took off and put a used one on? Thats theft of property! And you knowingly lied and told me the rims were NEW not like new, which is really used! What about the headlight on the drivers side that was to be fixed? I even have the "we owe" paper. It wasnt fixed!! As far as the key, the key that was with the vehicle was the key your dealership sent me home with! I put my other key in the mail, at your request. After you didnt recieve it YOU called a locksmith, you also called me saying it was $260 to have a key made. I informed YOU at that time I WASNT PAYING ANOTHER PENNY TO YOU!!! The key came from you to begin with and if it didnt work you needed to handle the problem. I defiantly learned from this experience and I am letting everyone know what kind of dealership you are. DISHONEST!! I have contacted the BBB, Attorney General's Office, The Federal Trade Commission, and an Attorney.

Ms. Allen, We do strive to address all problems professionally and it is important to us to have happy customers. Unfortunately, from day one, you haven't been happy with anything we have done for you. I apologize and don't feel that we are blaming you no more than we should be blamed anymore. We offer "used cars" for sale and with this vehicle being purchased directly from Infiniti and all the good reports, there was no reason to believe this was, at anytime, a bad vehicle.
If there are any further items on the "We Owe" that we have not addressed yet, please contact us so we may deal with these issues promptly. Thanks Stephanie

Ms. Allen, As I have explained to you, we will be glad to look at your headlight. Your claim on the new rim, you are welcome to have it back, we still have it along with your old rims and evidently, the technician did not know to leave it, he only knew to replace the 4 rims. Since the key that you sent to us would not work, we did have to order you a new key, so at least we could move the car from our top front lot. Ms. Allen, we did take care of the towing from Montgomery to Birmingham and we did fix your rims, as soon as we found out and at a fraction of the cost. I am sorry but I feel we have been very good to you and have gone above and beyond. As far as pursuing this any further, that's your choice. We did a lot of work for you, made no profit out of this entire transaction and unfortunately, we have to draw the line somewhere - in order to stay in business. Rami Achdut
