I want to share my experience with Hollingsworth Auto Sales in Raleigh regarding our purchase of a 2016 Yukon truck. As the owner of three paid-off cars, two of which are still running well, I have always prioritized proper vehicle maintenance through dealerships instead of second-hand repair shops. We intended to use the Yukon primarily on weekends, driving it infrequently during the week, which should have minimized wear and tear. Despite this, we've faced significant issues, including a failed thermostat and the truck not starting at all. Given our careful maintenance and limited usage, we feel frustrated and disappointed. When we contacted Hollingsworth Auto Sales about these problems, the owner implied that we didn’t know how to care for the vehicle. This was particularly infuriating due to my commitment to proper maintenance. Their response to our concerns was cold and unhelpful, leading us to suspect they were aware of the truck's issues before selling it to us. Purchased a car that had been hit via carfax information. Spoke to dealership regarding repairs and were told had been repaired to factory specs or better. Received car and took it to body shop because trunk did not work and did not sit properly on the car. Was informed and after closer review could see rear quarter panel was out of alignment. Also retractable hard top had bondo in it that was cracking. To fix the rear end properly and top the estimate was $10k and that didn't include a front bumper piece that was dented. We were told the only body damage was scrap on front splitter and that everything had been repaired to factory specs or better. That it was in mint condition. We paid $28k and now looking at $10-$15 for body work. Contacted dealership took forever to get response from owner. Who basically accused me of lying and saying my fault for not flying in and inspecting the car. Yes I sure should have done that instead of believe what they told us about the car. Then was very rude over the phone. I asked for them to take the car back and refund money so we could buy another one. Owner refused. Buyer beware. Not honest. More
