I brought my car in with a check engine light on. I spent $2,400 on a laundry list of things they suggested was wrong with it, including new tires. A week later the check engine light came on again and the dashboard cycled through every major malfunction of the car. I drove directly from my office in NLR to the dealership, and the same mechanic looked at it again. This time I was told it was my turbo which I had replaced one year earlier for $2,500, and my engine. The overall sentiment was they could give me a quote for another new turbo and new engine, or, it was highly suggested that I get a new car. I drive a 2018 Honda Accord with less than 165,000 miles. They said I had sludge build up in my engine. I only bring my car to Honda World for servicing, and they handle all of my routine maintenance and oil changes. There should be no sludge build up in a car that should easily be able to run for another 100,000 miles. I’m so disappointed. I’ve been a loyal Honda driver for 32 years. If I have to replace my vehicle, I would not be willing to entertain a Honda given how poorly I was treated, and how they clearly do not stand behind their work. And frankly, that’s sad because I’ve always gotten great service from Honda World in the past. I’m out thousands of dollars because of them now. It’s sickening. More
