My idea of dealing with car salesmen was such that when I noted the pending car search on Facebook I included a photo of me reading “the Art of War” by Sun Tzu. My wife Diane and l showed up at Wilde Honda and Michael proceeded to show us the cars we were interested in. He immediately struck me as relaxed and personable, providing my wife and I with the information on each vehicle. As is the case with many husband and wife duo’s we had a game plan going in the door but after we started viewing the cars that plan went right out the window. Michael was up to the task, not needing to play arbiter but rather explaining the pros and cons of each vehicle , checking his cell phone for additional info when needed and allowing Diane and I to come to a decision organically without the tension these situations sometimes initiate. I’d actually started working with someone else at this dealership and decided to not even buy a Honda because of their attitude and pushiness, we had a down payment on a car at another company when I decided to try someone else at Honda. I had been looking for a Civic Type R for a long time, but since they're a hot commodity I couldn't find one anywhere in the state that wasn't marking them up. Some dealerships were even asking 7500 over MSRP for the car. I saw a listing on Autotrader for a new type R at Wilde Honda and called them up and spoke with Michael. He told me that they were willing to sell the car at MSRP which was fantastic! That being said, there were 4 other interested buyers that also were trying to buy the same car. Michael was superb in communicating with me through the whole car buying process and working with me to get as many documents and items handled via email or text so that it would minimize my time at the dealership. Furthermore, he made sure that the other buyers didn't jump the line and get the car that I had been waiting so long for. Michael was very courteous, knowledgeable, and didn't try to push me at any stage of the purchase. I had to drive to the dealership from 3 hours away and because of work constraints, I got there with only 30 minutes left before closing. Michael stayed with me 2 hours past closing making sure I was taken care of and helped me clean out my trade in and get my new car all set up. He continued to follow up with me and made the experience very smooth and easy. I would recommend working with Michael to anyone. More
