I brought my vehicle to Honda of Sarasota for a routine oil change. While dropping off my car and walking towards another vehicle, I was approached by a Honda employee He informed me that my windshield was oil change. He immediately began asking questions about my insurance coverage, including whether I had full coverage. When I replied that I did not, he stated something extremely troubling that it was ok and that he could simply say the damage occurred when I did have full coverage. The next day, I noticed that windshield on the passenger side had crescent shaped crack. The damage in question. Damage that was not there prior to my visit. I called the dealership and spoke to Jake, the director/supervisor, who asked me to come in so he could assess it in person. I brought my car in person. I asked Jake to fill out a damage claim report, which should have led to further investigation. However, Jake failed to take the matter seriously, despite me clearly stating that I felt the damage may have been intentional. Jake completely disregarded what the first employee told me information that, had I followed it, could have led to legal trouble. This is extremely concerning. He failed to properly file a customer complaint report for the damage done to my car, which again would have prompted further investigation. This neglect is unacceptable. Instead of providing professional customer service, Jake attempted to convince me alongside another employee that the damage to my vehicle was pre existing. Considering that Jake was likely in his office during the service, it’s unclear how he could make that determination. I made it clear I was not going to go back and forth with him especially since the damage looked very identical to each other. More
