Also was told by Honey Car, I would receive an email stating the date of cancellation, still have not received the confirmation email. Avoid this place as they conduct business as if it was a tote your note lot. More

Then when I asked about taking the car to a local shop, which is what I was told they will do if I were local, I was told they would set it up and take it to a 3rd party of their choosing which means it wouldn't be an unbiased review. ^So they can look into me, but I can't do my own research on their product? We were told a deposit would secure the car, which we wanted while we did our diligence on it. I sent over card information and was asked for expiration date (forgot it initially). Got on the phone and spoke with the finance manager, Antonio, and provided that to him Then I was told paperwork was coming. I asked for days for it to be resent as it wasnt coming into my email. It finally came yesterday. The link said it was good for 24 hours, but it expired in less than 20 when I tried to open this morning. I called the sales manager, Jason, and spoke with him yesterday about the paperwork. He mentioned a back up buyer and asked if I was ready to commit. I said I am serious but cant make a decision without my husband and need to talk about waiving the mechanic. This morning, I call Jason and text him letting him know the paperwork expired. Nothing back I talk to Sara, the sales rep, who is new and ask for some photos for shipping purposes (in case of damage) as well as new paperwork She texts me back and lets me know that because they didnt have an expiration for the card the vehicle was sold to someone else. xx - I gave this to Antonio 3 days prior I call in and get a sales manager named Nick. He intially tells me that it was because the paperwork expired. Explain that I requested new paperwork and was in contact. Then he tells me that the deposit doesnt secure the car, but it takes it off the website. Not what I was told from the onset. I had my time wasted and was repeatedly lied to. BUYER BEWARE - get everything in writing because you cant trust a thing that you are told More
Paid cash for 2012 Subaru Outback. Less than 100 miles every warning light came on. Two hours later we drove away from the dealership in a used Subaru Impressa as a "straight across" trade according to the General Manager. After I got home, I discovered what I suspected, that it wasn't as "straight across" as the GM had implied. However, after two months without a vehicle in rural Virginia I was happy just to get out of the clutches of the HoneyCar horror maze. If there was a negative 5-star rating, they would exceed it by thousands of stars. DO NOT PATRONIZE HONEYCAR IF YOU ARE IN THE MARKET FOR A USED CAR. Caveat Emptor buyer beware. We can't count the number of lies and falsehoods that came out of the salesperson and the GM's mouth. Do not be afraid to make these people stand up to their promises.
