Thank you for your response, Steve. I’d like to clarify that the issue was not a lack of clarity, but rather a negotiated term that was not honored. We were told the vehicle would be delivered as Hyundai Certified Pre-Owned, and that understanding was confirmed prior to our visit. Based on that agreement, we traveled to the dealership and proceeded with the purchase process. Only at the very end were we informed that this term would not be honored, which resulted in significant frustration and unnecessary stress after several hours on site. This experience was not the result of miscommunication, but of a commitment that changed late in the process. I hope this feedback helps prevent similar situations for future customers.

Thank you for your concern regarding the 2022 Hyundai Palisade. Upon review, Kahi either misinterpreted what he had said to you, or he did state that this vehicle will be a Certified Used Vehicle. I state the phrase “will be” because it was unknown if this vehicle would pass the inspection. After review, this 2022 Hyundai Palisade is still sellable, however, is not worthy of the Certified Used Vehicle qualification. I understand that David Johnson explained that information to you and offered an extended service contract which covers most of the vehicle. Horne Hyundai and Hyundai Motor America have the responsibility of making sure ANY vehicle we offer for sale on our lot is a good quality product. In addition, I am disappointed that we lost a customer that was misinformed and resorted to badgering the dealership for a product that legally cannot be certified. A high percentage of consumers as well as past and current customers appreciate the honesty and information that we provide. I find your actions of attacking our credibility in attempt to gain something which we are unable to provide to be entirely unacceptable and unprofessional. Here at Horne Hyundai, we strive to protect our customers’ best interests, investments, and provide a world class experience. We gladly accept feedback and I wish you had chosen a simple phone call to seek resolution rather than attacking and spreading wrongful words. Update 9/22/25 - I reached out to Steve on 9/8 regarding the incident and received no response. I followed up again on 9/16 by email and still have not heard back. This lack of communication is very disappointing and does not reflect well on Hyundai’s commitment to its customers.
