She comes home wi Wife sat there for 2 hours waiting on them. They repaired a recall while there but didn’t inform wife while she waited for 2 hours. She comes home with car and I notice oil under car next morning. After inspection the seen the oil drain plug was not even half way screwed in to the pan and therefore leaked out over a quart of oil on carport. They also left smeared oil on top of engine cover instead of cleaning their mess up. Luckily I caught the oil leak before we lost the engine. More

I took the car to a mechanic and discovered that oil was leaking from the oil filter and drain plug. I have video evidence of this. I showed this video to the service department. The service department manager, who refused to talk to me, told the assistant service manager he refused to reimburse me the cost of the oil change. One star is one star too many in my rating. They are only getting that because it's the lowest score available. More

Had car since February for extended warranty coverage claim on engine failure. No communication whatsoever on status of claim and never follow up on inquiries. Have been patiently waiting while receiving claim on engine failure. No communication whatsoever on status of claim and never follow up on inquiries. Have been patiently waiting while receiving conflicting information. Told claim denied, then told claim pending, then told claim denied again this only after I contacted department. Disappointed and angry, no consideration at all to the consumer. If contacted as to status of vehicle I could have moved forward instead of hanging in limbo. More
If you need to have warranty work please do not come to this dealership. They will acknowledge the problem but will not repair it. Their go to line is that they all do it so there’s nothing they can do. Y this dealership. They will acknowledge the problem but will not repair it. Their go to line is that they all do it so there’s nothing they can do. You have a fully warranted vehicle and they refuse to do anything about your problems. Please save yourself some time and just go to Shreveport for your warranty work. More
Caution Monroe, LA car buyers– 12 weeks to repair an engine! On July 19th, while traveling in Louisiana, the engine failed in my 2013 Hyundai Tucson. It had under 100K miles and one owner, I was confident this would be covered under the warranty and had it towed to Interstate Hyundai. It took them A WEEK, and me having to go in person, to find out the engine failed (something I told them day 1). They quoted me prices to repair. I had to tell them to contact Hyundai, as it should be covered. Fast forward 3 WEEKS, the dealership FINALLY got all the information Hyundai needed to determine this was covered and provide me a rental (I had to get Hyundai Motors involved). It then took another 9 WEEKS for them to complete the repair with little to no communication. I worked around dealerships for a large part of my career and dealt with at least 100 dealerships. In my opinion, Interstate Hyundai has a poorly run service department. If you buy a Hyundai in the Monroe area and want it serviced, I fear you will have to drive to other cities (Jackson, Shreveport, Alexandria) to get competent service from a Hyundai Certified dealer.
