I had an appointment, which I was early for, for a specific VIN with multiple incentives. They apparently could not wait and sold it from under me as I was walking in. 2. Once I agreed to buy a newer car without the incentives, only .99% APR it took 4 hours before they got me to finance. 3. Finance apparently did not do it right the first time. So I had to drive back. Twice. I originally refused all the addons, the dealer 'nitrogen' tire $2000 upcharge and the $1600 service contract. I kept saying no and they dropped the price of the contract to $400 but continued: I wanted NO addons. The second and third times I was assured that nothing was changing it was just a glitch in the system that I needed to resign my loan documents again and again. 4. Even though I swiped my card, they wanted me to return a THIRD time to redo my down payment. I told them they had to come to me this time. They were able to do that over the phone. 5. I wasn't given a copy of my loan documents. I had to ask and they were emailed to me. Which is when I learned I was charged $1600 for the service contract. 6. I asked them what was going on, I had explicitly declined it multiple times, even at $400 there is no possible way I authorized it for $1600. Ladon called and said he would have it removed. I was relieved. I recorded this call as NC is a single party consent state. 7. I checked my loan after a week and it appeared to not have changed. I called HMFUSA and they said, noone attempted to unwind it and they did have a contract for me. They transferred me to the service contract people, I told them my story and they said no one had contacted them to unwind the contract. The very nice lady on the phone talked me through the paperwork I had to file and told me I would get a full refund, but the dealer would have to submit the payment to adjust the principal to HMFUSA. If I could give a 0/5 stars I would. Absolute xxxx. More
I brought my GV80 to have the brake pads tuned and I was at your dealership from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Yes I did have appointment. I have never had this type of service that would require this much time - at your dealership from 8:00am until 4:00pm. Yes I did have appointment. I purchased my vehicle from keffer Hyundai less then 2 years ago and bought an extended warranty as it was a high mileage vehicle. I was originally told that they would give me the 2 year warranty if I pu years ago and bought an extended warranty as it was a high mileage vehicle. I was originally told that they would give me the 2 year warranty if I purchased the vehicle that day so I agreed then when signing the papers they had put $2,000 for the warranty to which both myself and my co-signer questioned it saying he had told us he would give us the warranty for free. To which he went back on his word and said he never said that even tho both myself and my co-signer heard him say otherwise. After thinking about it I ended up purchasing the warranty in case anything went wrong. After having the car for 2 months, the engine had to be replaced, I went in and informed them I had purchased a warranty and was informed that the warranty didn’t include the engine. We went back and forth for some time and eventually spoke with a sales manager who assured us it should be covered. So he began going back and forth with the sales person and basically he was the only reason they agreed to do it even tho it should have been covered under the warranty. Had we not known someone in management we would have had to pay the cost for the engine replacement and the work. Jumping forward a year and a half I had the engine light on and called asking for a diagnostic check. The women scheduled an appointment and I asked multiple times if the issue would be covered under warranty to which she replied it should as long as it was in the warranty. I asked her a few times if she could just check beforehand to see if it may or may not fall under the warranty to which she replied that she could not know until they found if the issue. After dropping off my vehicle and waiting till Monday keffer called back they informed me that it would have been under warranty but my warranty ended 2,000 miles ago which I had no idea. I spoke with the women and informed her I thought I had purchased a 2 year warranty as that is how they sold it to me, and she mentioned that it was 2 years or a specific amount of miles. After some back and forth I was told that I could do the service for $2,400 or just pay for a diagnostic reading for a fee of $205, when I went in to pay the bill they had tacked on an additional fee of $36.90 for shop fees. The $2,400 cost included the $1,000 part and the rest in service fees. All they did was plug a diagnostic test into my car which I had done at my house and had gotten the same exact code. The reason I brought it up there was because I had been under the impression it was covered under warranty. Overall this is the second issue we have had with the service department and I am not impressed. Beware when buying a used car from Keffer Hyundai is all I have to say. My sister wanted a Hyundai and purchased it at Fort Mill Hyundai and they have been amazing, go there instead. More
