I recently purchased a used 2025 Toyota Tacoma from Kendall Ford. While I was happy with the vehicle and the initial pricing, the financing process was a major disappointment. I arrived with a pre-q Kendall Ford. While I was happy with the vehicle and the initial pricing, the financing process was a major disappointment. I arrived with a pre-qualification letter from my long-time credit union to keep things simple. However, the finance department persuaded me to apply through their own lenders, claiming they could beat my current rate. This turned out to be a mistake. Not only was their "better" option no better than what I already had, but it also dragged the process out for an additional three hours. Despite my clear preference for sticking with my established credit union, they continued to push their own financing options. It felt less like they were trying to save me money and more like they were trying to meet a quota. The Bottom Line: If you buy here, the inventory and pricing are fair, but be firm about your financing. If you have a pre-approval you like, don't let them talk you into a "better deal" unless you have several hours of your afternoon to spare. More
