Luz in Service was very helpful and let me know what was going on every step of the way. She seems to genuinely care about the customer which I really appreciate. I know as much about cars as I do about surgery - so I have to rely on a dealership’s integrity. I find theirs to be consistently high. My only conundrum was recently being advised to replace my battery which (though only 1 year old) was deemed to have failed Kia’s tests. I agreed to have KIA change the battery and I eventually brought the old battery back to Autozone. They tested it and said it was at 71% capacity and “good”. I guess I should have asked more questions - like what constitutes “fail”. Or what constitutes “good”. I also failed to advise KIA that I hadn’t driven the car in a month and that might have influenced its charge. As it is, KIA was quite helpful - Lucy left the battery under her desk until a friend could pick it up and I could return it to Autozone. Lucy graciously put it in my friend’s trunk. Autozone gave me a full refund so I’m whole. I guess in the end I was treated nicely by Kia AND Autozone. More
The dealership was very generous to transport me back to my house while the work was being completed. I would have liked more correspondence and status reports, but they are doing as well as they can wit my house while the work was being completed. I would have liked more correspondence and status reports, but they are doing as well as they can with being understaffed and a maintenance department that is clearly to small for the volume of cars that the dealership sells.
