Brought the truck in for an oil change and have someone look at the issues I'm having with the transmission downshifting and poor fuel mileage. The truck downshifts even on very minimal inclines when pulli look at the issues I'm having with the transmission downshifting and poor fuel mileage. The truck downshifts even on very minimal inclines when pulling a small trailer (1500-2000 pounds) and even downshifted when it was just the truck and 4 passengers with the cruise set at Interstate speeds (75). The transmission will not upshift after this until speed is reduced significantly even if the truck is going downhill without a load. Don set me up with Craig(?) to discuss this issue. During the oil change Craig had someone look into my concerns. The service team reprogrammed the powertrain control module. This was done to hopefully improve the issue I've had. Unfortunately it will be spring before I pull a trailer again. I'm hopeful the truck will perform as expected after this visit. I've been a loyal Dodge owner for 28 years and this is the first time I haven't been satisfied with a purchase.
