I’m writing this review to warn anyone considering Lexus of Oxnard. What happened to me here wasn’t just bad service — it was deception, manipulation, and an outright betrayal of trust by management and sal of Oxnard. On April 13, 2025, I inquired about a 2024 Lexus LS (VIN: JTHGYLGF9R5002881). I was contacted by Corey Mamutse, who stated he couldn’t negotiate pricing. I was then handed off to Mike Reyes, the General Sales Manager. I made several written offers. Finally, on April 16 at 5:28 AM, General Manager Josef Langhans himself accepted my $95,000 out-the-door offer in writing and congratulated me. I have this email. He also copied Mike Reyes, Morad “Moe” Eddik, Marilou, Ayoub Lawrance, and others on the acceptance. This wasn’t some vague sales discussion — it was a formally accepted offer by the dealership’s GM. I responded right away, confirmed I would proceed, and asked for next steps. Mike Reyes said he was off that day but Moe or Marilou could help. I immediately called Moe and asked to send a deposit or start paperwork since I lived two hours away. He refused, saying the dealership didn’t allow deposits or remote transactions — a lie. Later, I learned the vehicle was sold over the phone and delivered to a different buyer who never came in. I rearranged my schedule, left work early, and drove for hours in traffic. Minutes before I arrived, Moe told me the vehicle was sold. Other employees confirmed the buyer was remote. This wasn’t just incompetence — it was a deliberate obstruction of my purchase after a written agreement. When I called back, both Moe and Marilou were smug and dismissive. They told me flatly to “go ahead and leave a one-star review” if I didn’t like it. They showed zero remorse and seemed to enjoy my frustration. I contacted GM Langhans again later that night. He said he was on vacation and would respond the following week. He didn’t. I followed up multiple times. Silence. It wasn’t until I warned I would escalate to consumer protection agencies that he responded — not to apologize or resolve anything, but to accuse me of harassment, claim they “did nothing wrong,” and tell me to stop contacting them. I never harassed anyone. My messages were calm, polite, and professional. I have proof. Even more suspicious: the morning my offer was accepted, the car’s online price dropped by $3,000. It seems the dealership was already planning to sell it to someone else while stalling me with a fake “accepted” deal. Here’s what each person did wrong: Josef Langhans, GM: Broke a written agreement, ignored follow-ups, and then defamed me with false accusations. Mike Reyes, GSM: Disengaged after copying on the deal, never followed up. Moe Eddik: Lied about deposit/paperwork policies, refused to help, and knowingly blocked me from buying the car while letting someone else do so remotely. Marilou: Rude, mocking, and unprofessional on the phone. The entire dealership: Showed a complete lack of integrity and transparency. This situation has caused significant emotional and financial harm. I gave them multiple chances to correct it. They made it worse at every turn. I’ve filed complaints with Lexus Corporate, the BBB, the FTC, and the California Attorney General. I’ve also spoken with GMs from other Lexus dealerships who confirmed this should never have happened. If you’re thinking about doing business here, ask yourself: If the General Manager’s written agreement means nothing, what kind of dealership is this? This isn’t how Lexus should treat its customers. We purchased a new 2015 Lexus RX350 from Lexus of Oxnard when the dealer was fair and we knew the contract, in written form, before we purchased the vehicle. In 2024 we purchased a used vehicle from the same dealer but under new ownership. We were not able to review the contract in written form, only on a large screen. They charged us for items we didn’t want. We have never a difficult time with a dealer until now. We had to print the contract at home on our own printer. Now months later we had a flat tire and there was no lug nut key and we had to pay over $180.00 to remove the locks. Lexus did not verify that the vehicle had locks when we purchased the vehicle. I would recommend customers to go to Thousand Oaks for a Lexus. More
Stay away from this dealership, service was horrible. They said that you can bring your oil change coupon but after oil change did not take the coupon. STAY AWAY FROM THESE INCOMPETENT MORONS. I purchased a car from these idiots on 4/16/24. I emailed and called them the next day to have the issue resolved. Fortunately, they realized their mistake and had the proper temporary plates and registration delivered to me the following business day. As if that is not enough, I have still not received my registration and permanent plates yet from the DMV. On 5/16/24 (exactly 1 month) from the date of purchase of the vehicle, i got a call from one of the staff members named Phuong Pham. Turns out, the dealer did not take proper documentation/pictures of the emission label, VIN number and everything else needed to submit to the DMV. Guess what? These morons asked me to send them everything which I DID. I was told then that they had submitted everything to the DMV on 5/22/24 and that it should take 2-3 weeks to receive my permanent plates. STILL NOTHING! I have bought over 4 cars in the last 2 years and never once had to deal with such incompetent losers in which the customer has to chase them around and do their work for them. I will wait another 2 weeks patiently and pursue legal action if necessary to rectify this matter. More
