I had always been a big fan of Dan Cummins and a repeat customer of new and used. My last two experiences were not great. I found a specific truck online, indicated interest, and got a call late morning sa customer of new and used. My last two experiences were not great. I found a specific truck online, indicated interest, and got a call late morning saying it was in stock and I set a 6 pm appointment to view and, most likely, buy the truck. Around 5:35 (while in route to the dealership) I get a call from the salesman saying he's showing this same truck to someone else. I was a little stunned but was not far off, so I arrived at my appointed time. Waited 15 minutes for someone else to make up their mind (or more likely, arrange financing). I left, got a call at 6:40 from the sales rep letting me know he has the keys if I want to come look at it. He did apologize and explain that it was policy. While I do understand modern policies, I really miss old fashioned customer service. The policy cost them a sale in the short run and repeated family business in the long run. More
