1st of all, they're communication about my particular vehicle was not very accurate. My vehicle ended up sitting at the location for an extra 2 weeks because they didn't have "authorization to do the wor vehicle was not very accurate. In speaking with the customer service lady She powertrip me and threatened that I could just come pick up my car without the work being done after I showed her a little frustration. I had brought my Sonata in for an issue with the timing chain jumping causing the car not to start. I had them take it apart to access the damage to the engine. While they did this diagnosis, they had replaced the brake light switch due to a recall, without my permission. When I got the car back, I noticed a shrill bearing noise when operating the car and after parking and turning the car off, the brake lights wouldn't turn off, causing my battery to die twice. I had noticed when I would turn the car on and lift up on the brake, they would then turn off. I took it back in to the service center and explained the problem. They looked at it and said they didn't notice any issues with the brake lights turning off, which I then told them to check again because it happened every other time I would turn the car off. They then said the timing belt needed to be replaced and would be around $400. I said cant you spray the belt with conditioning spray to stop the noise because he had said the belt was fine, yet was suggesting it be replaced. I said this was upsetting because I should not have to bring my car back in after spending $2005.49 at their facility the first time. I asked for it to be fixed at no cost. He then said they saw the issue and adjusted the brake light switch. He then suggested I replace the belt for $70 with no charge for labor. I appreciated this offer, but I should never have had to deal with the brake light switch issue in the first place. More
